We came up to Albany because we were running from hurricane Idalia. Very easy reserving at late notice. Girl on phone was very friendly. We came in the front gate with our 44ft 5th wheel. Very easy getting in, the opened a far left gate for us. Easy & quick to the park. We were in lot #2. All the middle ones are long pull thrus. Grass & gravel and not very level. All full h/u. The outer circle is all full timers with over half not even there. Laundry & bath house looked to be new. Very nice. Dog walking was great with sidewalks & poop stations. Our biggest complaint is that they haven’t mowed in awhile. Grass was up to knee height. The gnats, sand fleas at this time of year are bad too. Not a bad little rv park, we would stay again but for the love of G, get someone to mow!!!

Camp ground is on the base and it has numerous spots. The majority are taken up again be ones that want to home stead. There is a few concrete pads but most are gravel. The campground is not the best that i have seen in my 18 months on the road. I try to stay at military camp grounds on my travel. The better half and my self have been to over 15 military camp grounds and so for the Air Force FAMCAMPS are the best starting with. Wright Pat. I will say the camp is close to the NEX and Commissary which are small but adequate for the size of the base, there is also a good size Walmart close by for any additional items. As usual the directions need to be looked at and some one needs to look at a road map for better details, do not depend on you navigation system in your vehicles get a map and look it up.

This is one of the best campgrounds we have found. It is so clean, well organized and thought out. the sites are enormous, with tons of room. It is very quiet and peaceful, and very inexpensive. We'll be back!

The RV campsites are great, several pull-thru's and plenty of space between sites. The description about not being able to get into the front gate needs to be updated - - they will let you thru a non-roofed lane on the far left side as you are facing the main gate, the security forces folks were awesome. They will need to open a gate for you to get access, but there is no need to worry about the commercial gate closure at 4:30pm

Small quiet CG on small, quiet USMC base. Large level pull thru sites for short time stays. We camped in 35 ft 5er

Clean and neat for this campground. A lot of space between sites, full clean laundry, WiFi not reliable, definitely would stay again.

This is a very pleasant and clean site. Plenty of space between campers given its size. Nice area to walk around. Only downside is the bathhouse is a tad way away from the actual campers. But it is very clean. I will be back again.

This is a very pleasant campground for a short stay. There are about a dozen long term residents and 7 sites for short term campers. The base is not close to anything but most of your needs can be met on base. The clerk who checked us in said they don't print maps for security reasons. Hogwash! I can see the entire base layout on my GPS. Someone just doesn't want to do the work of producing maps. All hookups worked fine. The campsite was gravel with a concrete apron and fairly level. All sites were spacious. You have to go to building 3600 to pay as there is no office or camp host on site. Don't expect any pertinent information on the base or area. Cable had only one channel. OTA tv was just as bad. There was no bathhouse and little area to walk the dog. The wifi was slow but worked well. There was a garbage can at each site. Getting onbase was a challenge. There is a commercial gate on the back side of the base. If you come in the main gate you have to coordinate with the guard to open a bypass gate. Clearance at the main gate is only 13 feet.

Gate personnel were very friendly and helpful. My GPS brought me to the back gate but rather than try giving me directions to the area, I was escorted to the area. My site was the easiest to get into of any I have used to date. Will definitely stay here again.
