Awesome park! Very clean bathrooms, private sites, and wonderful trails. We saw lots of manatees also. I highly recommend and we’ll be back!

One of my favorite Florida State Parks. Swimming with a manatee was on my bucket list. Facilities are spotless. Sites are private and generally level. Well managed park. Highly recommend

Florida has many wonderful state parks & several of them near springs, like this one. For that reason, it’s a beautiful park. It’s easy to get to as well, close to grocery stores & gas. The downside is, it is one of the busiest parks in Florida, and not just for camping. Even during off season, the gate was closed on a Sunday afternoon due to full capacity (mostly day users). This is not a big rig campground, we had just enough room for our 32-ft fifth wheel & it was one of the few relatively large sites. Didn’t use bathroom, can’t comment on it. Dump station - easy access. Campground roads were tight.

Stayed August 22nd to 25th 2016. Will definitely go again. Beautiful state park. Had a great day of swimming in the spring and saw a manatee just as we got out. You can walk to the spring via a boardwalk that goes through an absolutely gorgeous forest. Loops are paved. The private sites are surrounded by trees, a nice size and have crushed stone.Didn't checkout bathrooms.

We had a great stay! I had a tough time fitting my 30ft airstream into spot 45, but I managed it. The place is quiet until a train comes by 2 times a day. I really liked the manatees and being able to see them early before every one else gets in the park! The park is also close to a lot of city life invade you need it.

Great park and very clean. Campsites are secluded and surrounded by trees ? check on their web site for photos each location. Separate footpath to site from the Spring away from day trippers.
Boardwalks up to the spring or down to the river entrance. The area from the swimming area to the spring is fabulous for snorkelling and you can see the underground cave where the spring comes out snorkelling ? or bring your scuba gear! From Nov 15th to March 1st the Spring run is close for manatees who winter here, but water is crystal clear so you will see them.
Trains will be heard during the night as they blow their horns at the crossings nearby ? but do not let this discourage you!

Absolutely beautiful state park. From the campground you can walk to the spring via a boardwalk that goes through an absolutely gorgeous forest of Palm Tree. Campground loops are paved. The very private sites are a nice size and have crushed stone. Bathrooms are dated but freshly painted and well maintained.

Beautiful place. Bring your floats. There is a nice spring to go and look at. If you scuba dive, you should consider this cave dive area also. There was a very long paved bike trail at the entrance that was great. The only bad part about the park is the train that comes by about every 4 hours. Its loud, but it goes by quick. The bathrooms were hard to keep clean becaue of all the dirt paths, so hit the showers after noon so they are cleaner.
