This is a nice location. Some of the items we really liked were:
Concrete pad with picnic table. Built in fire pit with wood benches. Easy pull through site (1). Electric box seemed to be wired correctly. Mt. Dora is 8 mins away, with light house and shops. Hiking trails around the lake. If you bring a boat or canoe there is a dock for your use. The water sites look great. This was a very relaxing and quiet park. If you have kids there is a playground. They allow dogs. They keep the area clean and there are lots of trash bins. Dump site is an easy pull through on the way out. Mt. Dora Mtn biking trail is only 15 mins away.
Some of the negatives: lots of bugs, being this close to a lake with standing water. Bug spray worked. Camp sites weren’t all full, even though online booking said they were.
We had a nice weekend here and the camp office staff were very nice.

Just finished a great week at Trimble Park in Mount Dora, Fla. For a glimpse of the original Florida, huge oaks, spanish moss & plenty of wildlife this is a good one. A quaint quiet park with only 15 sites, most on the water, benches, gliders & swings along the trails. Electric & water at each site, no sewer but there is a dump station. Our 40ft had no problem fitting. For a very natural park they do a great job of keeping it picked up.

Beautiful park! Perfect place to slip a kayak into the water. Well maintained county park with only 15 electric sites but peaceful and close to city of Mt Dora.
