Superb location (FHU) with water views from every site. Close to everything on base (NEX, commissary, gas, laundry, lounge, marina, CG office, fitness center, ITT, etc) and off base. Tip to park at Truman Annex and Trumbo bases was so handy and saved so much $$ on parking. Boca chica base close with nice beach and awesome front seat to watching military planes landing. Truman annex with great private beach next to Fort Zachary Taylor SP. Very bike friendly town.

I never made it to my campsites reservations, because couldn鈥檛 get a pass from the navy base. They did a back ground check using my driver license. They told me they cannot give me a pass to my campsite because I have been charged with manslaughter. I told them it is absolutely not true.. I had just retired from DOD with secret clearance etc. I had my SF-50 too. So I drive all the way from western ny to find out that sometime in my life I was charged with manslaughter. I can鈥檛 believe that they have a system that is so wrong. I also showed them another id of me, but didn鈥檛 matter. Very disappointed with the navy base.

We drove through to check it out and it was unkept and tight. Sites are on top of each other. I don鈥檛 know what people see in this place other than location. A dump in my opinion.

This campground and our experience was wonderful. We happened to book 2 weeks ahead due to a cancellation that occurred. The lady that booked us was very knowledgeable and provided us the information we needed. We had a water view site and there was always a nice breeze. Everyone from check in to commissary and Navy exchange were very friendly and helpful. All the people we met in the campground were so nice. It seemed that most were staying for a month at a time. Everything seemed close: bath house with laundry, NEX, Commissary, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, cafe/marina, horseshoe area, walking trail. The location of this campground was perfect with easy access to historic downtown key west. Both to the right and left when you exit base, there is a Publix. You may want to rent or bring your bicycle if you come here. We did not bring ours because they did not meet the Navy base芒鈧劉s requirement芒鈧劉s but we will next time. Also, we will be sure to bring our kayaks next time. Campground has cable. We do not have a wi-fi booster and we needed one as the strength was low. The sites are close together but I did not see that anyone had an issue and I would not want them to reduce the number of lots. I plan to return and thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

We had a front row pull thru and could not have been happier. Beautiful views across the water. Waterfront park strip with benches make the view accessible to all. Two convenient and clean shower buildings with laundry facilities. Check in was easy, camp hosts were friendly. Very well maintained. HOT, but that芒鈧劉s what we expected, it芒鈧劉s July! Nice palms along the water, but not much shade on the sites. Gentle breeze kept bugs to minimum. Was able to sit out in the evening without bug spray. Snorkeling around the wrecked sailboat I saw several varieties of tropical fish and a lobster! Convenient to NEX and Commissary. Excellent bagel shop not far from the entrance to base was a bonus. We will 100% be returning.

The RV Park on Sigsby is about as good as a DOD Campground gets. Absolutely nothing to grouse about. Some of the older sections are a tight fit while the newer sections are spacious. Keep in mind that it is HOT in the summer and there is no shade. There are multiple campgrounds all located in the same area (walking distance between each). The newer sections are much nicer than the older sections....but there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of them.

Please note that the number listed is not the reservation line, it is 877-navy-bed or 877-628-9233

Update:Gas Stations on Sigs and Boca currently shut down. No time frame provided when operational again. Signs marina is not renting power boats at this time due to fuel pump issues. I was informed perhaps end of May fuel pump will be fixed permitting boat rentals to resume. Don't forget, office no longer schedule camping sites. Go to Navy Gateways to make reservations. FYI, the Exchange added more P.O.Boxes at $10/mo
Great location.

RVing at the NAS in Key West is wonderful and more than $150 cheaper than any other option. But you have to be flexible. As mentioned in an earlier review reservations are now required. You can make them beginning 180 days in advance (not 6 months). In peak season, you start out in dry camp and rotate into sites with services which you have for two weeks. There are two locations. Trumbo point is all dry camping and no rotations. Sigsbee rotates and moving is required when it芒鈧劉s your turn. There is a Facebook group called Sigsbee Shufflers that provides information, organizes events and the like. It芒鈧劉s a great easy to make connections.
I strongly recommend going to their website and finding their 芒鈧淲elcome芒鈧 booklet to find all of the rules. And if you have questions call the office.
The condition of the camp goes up and down. The cleanliness of the bathhouse depends on the cleaners. This season they are great.
