For being so close to Orlando, this park is quite impressive. There is a beautiful beach/picnic area at the lake. Yes, the water is tea-colored but very warm this time of year. The sites are spacious and private with plenty of shade. We stayed on Site 49 which was perfect. Extremely private! The bathrooms were clean and modern. Also, 23 miles of trails for hiking/biking/horseback riding. I will definitely return.

Relatively spacious, level, pea gravel sites with some vegetation separating adjacent sites to provide a bit of privacy. Most sites are E/W only. Bathhouses are relatively new, well maintained and very clean. The 2 bathhouses each have a new washer and dryer, and can use credit cards or quarters. The park is quite large and has numerous hiking, biking and equestrian trails through prairie and some forest, and encircling small lakes. Lake Louisa itself is several miles from the campground. The water there is tea colored, so swimming is not very appealing. Strong Verizon and AT&T signals.

A very nice campground, relatively small and with accommodating pull throughs. We had site 12, a pullthrough that was not as long as others & barely long enough to get our 34 ft fifth wheel in there, only because the gravel pad had a 4-5 inch drop off making it near impossible to squeeze in to avoid hitting electric & water posts with a slideout and keeping truck tires from going off the edge. But that was not a dealbreaker for us as our site was shady and private. Loved being close to two beautiful lakes and there is a well maintained laundry room that accepts credit cards. This is a winderful campsite to take refuge from the busy highways and get away from the Disney crowds.

Not really suited for tent camping. All the campsites are gravel and, although you can set up your tent outside the curbed area, the majority of the campsites do not have the room to do so.

Amenities and grounds are great, just as a tent camper, I was disappointed.

Stayed November 2015 as last night before dropping off RV rental. park clean and wish we had time to walk around the park. Ideal for last night though and easy access back into Cruise America and getting LPG at camping world just before drop off (allowed 2hours to do this no problem) .

Because of its proximity to Orlando I really wanted to love this campground, but couldn't. That being said the facilities are well maintained. Loop roads are paved - sites have crushed gravel. Some sites have sewer hookups. The site "driveways" are narrow and sites feel closer together than at many Florida State Parks - probably due to the limited vegetation. The bathhouses are the older style without separate family/ADA restrooms. There are two lakes right at the campground for fishing and kayaking.
