Entrance road a little difficult to find on first time. Want the first gate (north) on Rt 1, was the second (south gate), about 100yds south of north gate(narrow entrance road). Nice campsites. About 12 back-ins for smaller rigs at one end of base. About that many pull-thrus at the other end of the base. Cement pads. Base is very small. You can walk the entire perimeter in about 10 minutes. Well maintained. Clean functional bathhouses. Bethany Beach very nice little beach town. Bethany Blues BBQ restaurant very good. Much larger Ocean City MD only 7 miles south and has great 2.5 mile boardwalk and lots of shopping and restaurants, mini golf etc.

Great site for $40 a night within 3 blocks of the beach. Friendly staff and camping neighbors. We were in the pull-thru sites which are tucked away in back of the Post next to a pond and the running track. The installation is within a few miles of a large and active VFW at which we attended a wonderful pancake breakfast. No wifi or CATV that we could tell but no complaints.

We had a wonderful time. Everyone we met seemed very nice and most willing to help. The gate guards met us with a smile, the lady at the check in desk was very nice. The laundromat is huge and wonderfully clean! I do suggest you stock up on supplies before arriving. There is no BX and the nearest Walmart is 13 miles.

The sites are concrete slabs. We have a 24' 5th wheel and with our truck we are about 40' and we filled most of our campsite. The rest rooms and showers are basic but functional. It was November and I was concerned that the hot water was turned off. I let it run for about 2 min. and almost gave up on getting hot water, but it did finally come and it was hot enough. We did have to confirm a reservation before 4:00 to be sure the gate guard would know to let us through the gate. Also be sure to take the South Gate the gate close to the road was closed. We were worried that the gate might be closed if we arrived after 5:00 p.m. but were informed the guard post operates 24 hours a day. I have not walked to the beach but other post have made comments that it is very close.

We spent 10 days at Bethany Beach Training Site. A very basic campground but who needs any more than that when you're at the beach! It's a two block walk to the beach from the gate. Love, love, loved it and will definitely be back next year!

A great getting away from all the crowds, at the beach! We had a GREAT time!! Sites are a little tight, and there's not a lot for younger kids to do... But enough to keep them happy! Reservation office can be difficult to get hold of, but once you do, you'll have a great stay! Look forward to going back!
