We had a nice overnight stay here. We were located in the front pull through area, which is very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and the park was easy to navigate. Agree with previous reviewers - make sure to specially request pull through sites in front of campground to be away from long term campers in the back.

This is the worst KOA I have ever stayed at. I was put in site 59 over Memorial Day weekend. My surroundings included full timer RVs surrounded by trash, construction material, rotting trash, abandoned wheels/rims, etc. The sites at the front of the KOA looked ok, but site 59 was in the ghetto. I tried multiple times to talk with the owner (Jan) but she was never there. I even emailed the Montrose KOA directly and never received a response. This by no means meets the KOA standards. And I paid top dollar to stay in this horrible campground. Drive a few miles south of Montrose and there are some really nice campgrounds. NOT recommended. I will be contacting KOA directly about my experience.

The showers were not even luke warm, more like room temperature plus 10 degrees. Otherwise pretty typical of lower thirty percent of KOAs. Hate it when after a long day traveling,芒鈧 a cold shower!

Reserved a pull thru and in reservation request I detailed our rig size and length. When we arrived, we were taken to the back of the campground where permanent campers are. The front of the campground is well manicured with green grass, flowers and well kept spaces. The back half of the campground is neglected with dead grass, dead trees and broken down really old trailers. (Got pictures to back up my claims) While we were setting up; a man across from us yelled obscenities, and racial slurs. We immediately went to manager and requested to be moved. Manager said, 芒鈧 Can芒鈧劉t do it, all spaces are booked.芒鈧 (We passed 2 open spaces in way to office. In the front of campground. ) We mentioned the empty spaces so we could move. She said they were booked. I said, 芒鈧揥ell I芒鈧劉m booked too AND I芒鈧劉ve paid in full, so what about me.芒鈧 She said there was nothing she could do. She told us, 芒鈧揓ust stay inside.芒鈧 We immediately called another campground (Montrose-San Juan Resort) who moved heaven and earth to accommodate us and get us out of this disaster of a campground. If you value your safety (home and family) DO NOT stay at this campground. This was our first time staying at a KOA and I can assure you...it will be our last.

This place is awesome. Very nicely maintained and laid out so it芒鈧劉s quiet and not too crowded. Landscaping is very well-done too. Really, really great. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Owners are very friendly. The park is nice and clean, bathrooms are nice, showers look clean but we didn芒鈧劉t use them. The pool and hot tub were great to have after a full day of hiking. I would definitely stay here again!

Our second time here. This is a nice campground with level gravel sites and grass in between. Some shade. Quite a few permanent/seasonals. Very friendly. Good hookups. Dog bags available limited dog walk area and very small enclosed K 9. Montrose has certainly grown since we were here 5 yrs ago. Really miss the weekly downtown market.
