We usually boondock, but along the I-25 corridor we couldn’t find anywhere. Truck stops also had no overnight parking-you could only stay an hour. I was desperate for a low-cost site and found the fairground campground. Lots of sites were available when we arrived after fighting construction traffic in the late afternoon-thankfully! It was pouring down rain and there were lots of puddles, but we found a mostly gravel site, hooked up, got a lot of TV channels and relaxed. Grateful this park exists! Cash only as the credit card option doesn’t work. Didn’t use shower.

Stayed here over night. Easy pull in/out. Nice a quiet and safe spot. For some reason I had a hard time finding it but it’s right next to the animal shelter building.

Don’t ask the manager for any favors… or even the time of day. Dump station closes at 4pm sharp. If you show up 10 minutes after 4pm and he is still here, he WILL NOT help you out and let you dump your tanks. Go somewhere else if you can, I won’t ever be coming back here.

Extremely tight spaces. Many of the campers here don’t seem to understand common curtesy. They park the backside of their trailer almost to the lot line so they have more front door room but that leaves their neighbor with less than 3 feet at their door.

Self service machine at the office is all you need to register. I didn’t use the shower house. I bet it’s a mess when it rains because there’s more dirt than gravel. Close to shopping, restaurants, Sams and grocery stores. Tight sites. The price is good all things considered. Verizon LTE 2-3 bars. I’d stay again for one night.

All the state parks were full, but we were able to get a spot at this county park and it worked well for us. We have a 40 foot motorhome and there were sites available at around 3 PM when we pulled in. We would stay here again if we were in a pinch. It was a easy drive to the Denver airport from here.

One hour from Rocky Mt Park.
This is a bargain. Not a resort

Would give 5 stars if spaces werent so tight but it is a great deal for the money! The park ranger was super nice & helpful-it is first come first serve but there were lots of open spots when we arrived! Nice clean showers & bathrooms!
We actually extended our stay because we really like the area-be sure & go to Left Hand Brewery!!

All sites are first come, first served. Pay for your site with an automated machine. Spots are tight and very close to your neighbor. We saw lots of big rigs here. Pretty cheap stay, but it’s not a place to go if you’re looking for charm and space. We stayed here a week because it was $25/night for hookups. Camp is 15 minutes from downtown Boulder.

Horrible place! Quite a few here are long term and there are some pretty trashy sites. Your space is barely wide enough to put slides out without hitting your neighbor. Only 8 spaces are long, and they are hard to get because half are taken by people staying for a while. Sites are all gravel and pretty uneven. Quiet time is 9 to 6 but at 9:30 the party was still going on next to us with people outside and the door open. The campground host only works 10 am to 4 pm so there is nobody to call. They have restrooms and showers locked and they don't give you the combination. This is self service so you never see a live person. We were going to stay a few days, but no way!
