Excellent state park. Very clean and well maintained. Nice views of the National Monument. Do NOT get sites 20, 22 or 24. Your view will be the back of a local business. Almost all other sites have nice views. Bath house has hot showers and laundromat. My only negative issue is security. A number of homeless people come in the campground to shower and one even slept on a picnic table of an empty site. When I attempted to contact a ranger, it was impossible . The local police connected me with state police who told me they can only relay info to rangers. So no one responded. The next day the rangers passed through several times. Hopefully this issue will be resolved, because this is a really great little park. I will definitely stay again.

Lovely, quiet, clean and green. Best shower ever. Walking distance to friendly outdoor oriented town with lots of amenities and a fun vibe.

This is a nicely kept, full featured State campground virtually no road noise. The staff is friendly and efficient. Level concrete site. We were in a camper van

Wow! Prettiest campground we have ever seen. Incredible views of Colorado National Monument. All sites are perfectly level, well spaced, with lovely shade structure over a steel mesh picnic table. Grounds are meticulously maintained with mown grass, trees, shrubs, and natural grasses and bushes. There is minimal noise from the highway - easily masked with a 芒鈧搒ound conditioner芒鈧 at night.

The James M Robb-Colorado River State Park was a wonderful spot to stop after a long day on the road! Our pull-through site was nice, level and featured a covered picnic area, a raked gravel common area, metal fire-pit and 50A FHU! Staff was very friendly and everything was spotless!

Second time to stay here; see my prior review. This is still a great place, very enjoyable and a great basis to explore the Colorado Monument.

I would restate the previous review, and add that the proximity to the Dinosaur museum always brings us here with grandkids. The review which speaks of closely spaced sites is obviously intended for Monument RV park across the street. I'll balance any traffic noise with the fine location and easy access and give it 5 stars.

This State Park campground is one of the best in Colorado. Very clean, with widely-spaced, level, paved sites. Many sites have views of Colorado National Monument. Short drive to downtown Fruita, the Monument and the several mountain biking trail heads in the area. River boat launch also on site. The only downside is proximity to I-70 and a train track. You do hear traffic and trains all night. Without the noise, this would get 5 stars. Great staff.
