$80 plus dollars for a small truck camper is over-the-top. There should be some discount for seniors. Seniors are getting pinched economically by the inflated cost of fuel, groceries and KOA! Other than the price, the camp is average gravel KOA with a view.

This is our second stay here. This time site 17. It’s still a 5 🌟 one row off the balcony. How could you not like the view, the staff, or the facilities. Well worth the 7 mile climb up from IH70...which is possibly the only draw back. Go slow both up and down and enjoy this wonderful park.

Extremely steep and unreasonable cancellation fee. Reserved 4 nights and encountered mechanical problems with our tow vehicle the early afternoon of the day before we were to arrive. Called at 2pm to report issue of travel problems & to cancel reservation. This KOA charged a fee of $72.68. The KOA that we were scheduled to stay at the same day of cancel,as a halfway stop, didn’t have a penalty for canceling. Go figure 🙄

Aug 2019. Stayed for 1 night. Site has long, concrete, level pull-thrus. Ours had a clean wooden picnic table. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Very friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Really nice campground. Sites 1-10/12 have beautiful views down into the valley and Central City. They are pull in sites so the view from the windshield of your MHome is really awesome. Nice and level, paved pad. Good hookups. WiFi worked well. Only drawback...no grass for your dogs. Very small dog enclosure with a partial artificial turf pad.however there is an abandoned parking lot next door with some grassy areas and room to walk.

Worth the trip up (and back down) the mountain! Just beautiful overlook above Central City. Be aware of the altitude which can get you if you’re not careful. Nice staff and facilities. Only drawback- no grass at that altitude which our dog was not very happy about. Loved it!

AMAZING! Beautiful views surrounding campground. Situated on top of a mountain with breathtaking views of the small town below. Cooler than Denver so bring a jacket. Lots of gravel due to the terrain but as someone said they put something on it to keep it from being dusty. Very clean facilities & probably the best laundry room I have seen with very reasonable price per load. Pizza & wings in season are great & the gift shop is second to none! Awesome friendly staff & owner was very friendly and accommodating. Love this place and will definitely be back!

Nice place to stay in the mountains close to Denver. Cooler temps than the flat land. Staff is friendly facilities do the job. If you like to gamble you can see Centeral City and Black Hawk from some of the sites in the valley below. Wi-Fi is a little slow but we can still get normal cell service. A big plus what ever they sprayed on the roads, which is clear, eliminates the dust from cars. Be aware when storms come through a neighbor clocked gust at 26mph. The location is on top of a mountain so there's not much protection. But the views make up for those occasions. Yes we will add this to our list and stay again.
