Loved the location of this campground, and the views. Like most national parks, the sites are older and thus not so flat. They are also a bit close, but our site (529) was across from an area open to the river. BRING BIKES, as the park is so popular you don't want to drive anywhere - no parking available. They do have bike rentals available. As expected, Yosemite is astoundingly beautiful. No showers or cell signal at the campground, but you can bike to areas that have cell coverage.

We were looking for a campground within Yosemite Valley that would be convenient to hiking and amenities in the valley. We are self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on weeknights in late September in our 25 foot MH.

There are 3 CGs in the Valley - Upper, Lower and North Pines. They are near each other and from a quick walk through, appear to be quite similar. We stayed at North Pines. This CG is nice and perfectly situated within Yosemite Valley. The sites vary significantly in size and shape. The pads are paved. When making a reservation, check the pad size. Some sites are level and others need leveling. Although they do not provide privacy between sites, the tall pines are beautiful and provide shade much of the day. There is no wifi. There is good Verizon and usable ATT coverage.

The shuttle bus stops near the entrance to the park and serves the entire Yosemite Valley. There are paths from the CG to the Valley Floor Trail and the multiuse path that connects the valley attractions. Reservations are needed in advance to dinner at the Ahwahnee/Majestic hotel, and not needed for lunch or breakfast.

Standard no hook up NP ... But, it's all about the location! A life time experience to stay in the valley.

You must make reservations at 10am PST... Within 30 sec of the opening window ... It took us 3 computers and 12 different campsite choices to get in !
