Great first come, first serve spot. Friendly staff. We visited in September and only had four other RV’s near us. Not much in the way of privacy or amenities, but it’s an awesome place to spend a day or two. The location and views are well worth the price of admission.

55 degree winter camping and the place still had spots taken. Most sites are feet from the cliff and offer spectacular views. Minimal leveling required. Very close to highway but waves totally drown out all road noise. ATT is spotty 1 bar.
Pit toilet is clean but very low to the ground. No water and high fee is why it’s a 4 and not 5 star location.

Reviews are accurate. You want to come here for a quintessential remote NorCal beach experience on top of a sheer 70 ft bluff. Rugged, isolated, and beautiful almost impossible to find in this day. Not for those looking for amenities other than water and pit toilets. Stayed 3 unforgettable days with dayhikes and visits to local communities and a fine food scene in Ft Bragg.

the other review is pretty accurate of my experience. Pros: Ocean view!! Cons: Little privacy and few services. I was a little bummed to have paid $25 because there was some trash on the site. There were paper plates in the fire ring. My dog stepped on a q-tip. I wondered, "what do they spend the $25 on? Can't they employ someone to maintain the place? But then I decided that being so close to the ocean was worth the $.

This is a simple State Park campground on a bluff overlooking the ocean. All the sites are pull up along the bluff with a firepit and table. No services but there is water available. On a nice October weekend it was about half full. Didn't see any camp host but there is supposed to be one selling firewood. Size is not an issue if there is a spot open. Use caution with children as there is no railing and the bluff is very exposed. Now the good part. THE VIEW IS AMAZING! Park your RV and you have 180 degrees of awesome coastal view. Nothing like having the surf lull you to sleep and that view to wake up to!
