HORRIBLE RV park. The infrastructure is sub-par. The place is poorly kept and dirty. The electrical system is dangerous and May harm your RV. The driveway into the campground is unsafe and downright dangerous. Driving your RV in or out May result in serious damage. The parking lot is a nightmare with limited spots. You are not allowed to park your vehicle by your RV. There is no security and many homeless encampments nearby. OVERPRICED ! Do not waste your time and money staying here. Jim the manager is a misogynist and made offensive statements. The women in the office were nice and helpful.

I'll echo the others in suggesting this is the best place to stay in Sac. Very downtown convenient location in park like on-the-river setting with good spacing and clean if dated bathrooms. Located on its own in a maze of river dikes so you dont get the usual problems associated with an urban area next to a freeway. When it was rural this was prob where the politicians dumped the bodies but with all residential development the area has a suburban feel with kids on bikes and coffee not minutes away. The road construction others have mentioned seems to be finished - I had no prob with directions but there are a lot of houses still to be built. Verizon signal was excellent. Well Water had a sulfur smell so bring a filter. Your other non-trailer park option for camping around Sac is Beals State Park. Slightly newer/nicer but way out of town and right next to the Folsom State prison.

I agree with aweaver review. It is hidden gem. It is only about 3 miles south of 1-5 & use Waze to locate. With the construction project the GPS will lead you astray. We were apprehensive with the mixed reviews but once settled in it had many more pluses. It is quiet. The sites are next to rivers edge. The staff was friendly & helpful. We were located right next to marina & were only about 30 feet from the river. We met friends in downtown Sacramento & only took less than 30 minutes. Ideal for sightseeing but out in the country. Other reviews mentioned the right turn & steep hill but we took the advice of Diana. We went back out of the park, turned back around & approached the incline from the left - no trouble at all. Only drawback- we would not stay here if rainy weather. No pads so only grassy area which is subject to getting stuck in mud. Would recommend.

This campground is a hidden gem. We needed a place to park while visiting the city. I would have given it five stars other than there were no trash receptacles in the campground and the entrance into the campground is steep with a sharp curve. The sites are grassy under very large trees. The river runs beside the campground. We didn’t hear any freeway noise. CAUTION Call first as there is road construction and your GPS will not work. The old road in is closed. The lady was very helpful. We have 40’ DP and got in but did detach car.

This is an old ill-kept fish camp- steep entry makes it a challenge to enter and exit- no hook-ups.

Different location to find, very steep curved entry into RV parking area, no hookup's. Park is unkept and run-down, I did not feel safe there.

We were in need of an overnighter while traveling home. Found this little RV Park on the Allstays app. Nice green grass, free shower ( just 1, 1 other requires a $15 deposit key. stupid idea) Safe area, out of the city...Right on the steep banks of the Sacramento River. Location at a small marina. Multiple houseboats, some really nice ones and some super old beat-up vintage ones! There are 2 different sections here. One for travelers, and a bit bigger section for long term RV's. But all neat and tidy. Very friendly woman checked us in with no reservation. $40 + $2 for our dog, and thats with no hook ups needed. Only downfall is the constant droneing noise from the freeway across the river. You can't see it but you know its there! .

Please update my review to report 4 bathrooms are here. This is a swell place and I want it to be correct information.

A very pleasant little campground on the river in West Sacramento. Manager works short hours so the store isn't open all day, but the bathrooms were clean and the park (down by the river) was quite nice. If you have to stay in Sacramento this isn't bad.
