We have been traveling through here for a few decades. Hi-Lo has recently been through a change in ownership and they have made it a dangerous and dirty place. There are no lights in the parking area and transients walk through freely, we were awaken to a screaming meth head at 1 am and never did a manager show, the lawn is covered in weeds and dog poop everywhere, bathroom was overflowing with trash and clearly not cleaned in at least a week, sites are filled with cigarettes and not level, there are now permanent RVs camped here and the rigs are in disgusting shape, etc... and for $60 a night!!! This place has gone downhil and is not safe. Whomever bought this place is running it into the ground. There are FAR better places to stay in Mountain Gate or Casinos.

Stopped here for a night and were pleased with the location and amenities. It’s just off the interstate but far enough that you don’t really notice the road noise. We appreciated the free showers, full hookups, WiFi, and free coffee. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for anyone passing through.

We enjoyed our stay here. Parking lot/entrance was a bit narrow, we weren’t sure we had entered in the right spot. There’s an exit out the back that we found easier to navigate. The sites are simple but perfect for an overnight. Thanks to a previous review we knew to ask for a site that had hook-ups on the correct side. We were pleasantly surprised to find a small green strip and babbling creek behind our site #4! There were even doggie waste stations and bags available. We got there right when the sun was low and gave a beautiful light on changing leaves behind us. Check-in was quick and friendly. RV bathroom (1) and showers (2) were nice and clean, also had washer/dryer and a vending machine with detergent. The cafe is convenient and the food and service were great. This is obviously not a luxury resort, but again, perfect if you are just passing through. Everything was quiet at night.

Hard to find, 15 spots tucked down behind the motel. Spaces are gravel and close together but back up to a nice creek, grass and dog walk area. Full hookups but cable and wi-if were spotty. We thought $40/night was a little steep for this spot, but it’s the going rate in the area. Clean bathroom area with showers and laundry. Our first choice was a USFS camp spot up the road that was gorgeous but still closed (everything seems to open in May). So we pulled in here after dark, exhausted, and were met with friendly service and an available spot. They gave us tokens for free coffee/tea at the cafe and a gas discount at adjoining station. Overall, a clean, quiet, safe stopover.

Tight campsites behind the Hi-Lo motel, friendly staff. The have added a laundry room! We stayed one night and might stay again as a stop over.
