The review from 2013 is accurate except that there is no longer a laundromat in Trinidad. I used theirs which has 2 washers ($2.00 for about 35 min) and 2 dryers ($2:00 for an hour). You are under the Redwoods and our spot didn't get any sun. It's a lovely place and was a good base camp for a few nights to explore the area. We did hear the cars on 101. Trinidad has a great little grocery store-Murphy's-that had a lot of the organic food I like.

This is a nice older and very rustic RV park that also offers small cabins for rent. The RV spaces are among tall redwood trees and if it wasn't so close to Hwy 101 one would think you were in a redwood forest (yes you can hear the traffic). The store and the laundromat is quite small but Trinidad is very close and has both. We stayed here in our 36' 5th wheel and enjoyed our stay, just make sure they know if you have slide-outs as not all pull throughs are wide enough for them. Also the Wi-Fi was very weak. I would have given them 4 stars if it weren't for the 2 downsides mentioned above.

We arrived late and left early, but glad we didn't stay longer. Site was NOT level and the most level area put the power on the wrong side. Dumpy feel to the place. Was fine for one night.
