Stayed in both Christy and Merrill CG and only road our bike through this section. Many sites are small and pavement is damaged (tripping hazard), but there were also some nice sites. We observed a couple of handicap sites that had power but all other sites are primitive. There are a few FCFS sites but they appear to be the ones you may not want if you are doing anything other than pulling in a small vehicle and tent camping There is little to no cell service with both ATT and Verizon. The best part of this CG is that it is the closest to the marina w/ boat rentals/well stocked store/showers and areas that you can fish from the shore. There is also a decent bike path around the park but watch for the upheaving from the tree roots.

Nice campground. Very friendly staff and host. Back in sites are a little tight. Dump station a couple miles west on hwy $5 fee. Be careful if you use google maps as it took us to Eagle NORTH campground about 15miles away on opposite side of lake, which by the way was very primitive.

Beautiful campground! Lots of space between sites, with a wide expanse of wild grass between the campsites and the lake.
Bathrooms were immaculate. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We pulled in midweek, so there were plenty of sites to choose from. This side of the lake is pretty mucky, but if you like birding, it's perfect. I'd stay here again.
