Camp hosts Chris and Tammy were so nice. Made sure we had everything we needed. No water no electric. Construction on site for new recreation complex. They already have a complex here with swimming, ice skating and senior complex. Maybe repair roads. What a beautiful lake. Took day trips around the lake both ways. Lunch at GarWood. What a view. Next day Camp Richardson The Grove. Live entertainment. Would stay in this area again. $53.09 a night Senior discount $30 something.

Nice location within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The reservation system is terrible, but it does eventually work. Dump station is closed for repairs.

This is a City ran RV Park and feels like a state park. We stayed in a site accross the road from Lake Tahoe. There were electric 30/50 amp in our loop with shared water hookup (bring a splitter), no sewer but there is a double sided dump station. The park is set among fully matured pine trees. The park is within walking distance to several restaurants, the lake and water activities. Price was good for this area at $60.28 a night. sites are on the dirt (dusty) No Wifi, no cable. We would stay again.

Beautiful place large camp spots. During COVID Restrooms and Showers are closed. You must be self contained. Lots of road noise especially on weekends and holidays. Clean and well kept great service. Close to casino’s and restaurants and shopping. Lake is right across the street on the north end.

We did not make reservations. When we arrived it was cash only with a $10 convenience fee. Bathrooms are disgusting. Hopefully it’s early in the season and they can clean them up.

Great park. Mostly dry camping, but there are 30 Amp sites too. Lots and lots of shade. Very comfortable outside, even in August. Shower houses were not clean at all, but there were a lot of people using them. Power and water at the site worked fine. Nice area across the street for lake views. We'd stay again even if we had to dry camp.

Can I give it 6 stars?
This is a City owned.and operated camp. Everything works, pavement is smooth. Camp sites are Hugh and well defined.
Camp hosts were super friendly and knowledgeable. Rules are enforced so the park is quiet.
I did not use the restroom or showers but they were all clean.
Make reservations. I did not and was only able to stay 2 nights.
I will stay here when I return to Tahoe
I recommend the Tahoe Taste boat tour.

We stayed in early June for 2 weeks. The campground is right off the main road into town, right across from the lake. So there is a lot of traffic noise if you want a nice view of the lake. The showers were hot and free, not the cleanest. It's a city park. Most of the RV sites in loop A and B are quite spacious. The Lakeview Commons are right across the street. This is a perfect little park to BBQ, they have lots of picnic tables and grills all along the lake. Lots of local kids doing slack line and having fun. We walked over for the sunset every night. Quintessential lake vibes at the Commons. This campground is centrally located, and we would stay here again.

Great campsite right across from the lake. There is a lot of traffic noise, the closer you are to the lake the noisier it gets, as the main road into town cuts right between the campground and the lake. The showers are nice a hot, good pressure and free. Lots of trees. The sites are good sized for California. Each RV site appears to have a picnic bench, fire ring and a BBQ.

We stayed here in a motorhome for two nights in June 2015. Our site had no hook-ups but we did have good internet service. The campsites were dusty but spacious. The lovely pine trees compensated for the lack of ground vegetation. Each site has a fire pit and place to barbecue. We were able to have a nice campfire. There do not seem to be clear boundary indicators for the different sites but it was not a problem. The bathrooms could have been cleaner and water pressure and temperature controls were not very good in some of the stalls. The location is very good for city lake and swimming access. There was a paddle board tournament while we were there which was a lot of fun. There were a number of park amenities (ice arena, library, etc.) which we did not check out.
