I agree with other reviews that it is rundown and past its prime. However, everything still works, they have laundry and hookups and showers, and the location is unique 芒鈧 right in the middle of the village with a big view of the ocean, and the occasional private plane landing over your head at the small airport.

The natural setting of this place is beautiful but in the Spring of 2015 I found the management to be nasty and the facilities to be run down. Shower drains did not work and structures were very old. Parking places , especially with hookup were very close together. Mostly grass so that is nice with a few big trees. There were some "interesting" characters hanging around which is of course to be expected in this part of California. If you go , best to get a spot without hookups as they are farther apart. Deli looked funky but good , and there is a very upscale restaurant associated with a B&B across the Runway on the Coast. The rest of the business community there is very run down. This is a very long haul from HY 1/101 and should not be attempted with a larger Trailer or RV. There is a long, very steep hill coming into Shelter Cove which should not be attempted unless you are VERY comfortable with steep mountain driving and know how to shift down for engine braking. Brakes on your Truck and Trailer must be in very good shape. Keep speed very low going down the hill. Don't let it get away from you.
