It’s 30 dollars for full hook and they must take reservations as the sign in board said some spots were not available. Great park

There are no reservations, so took a chance and found a nice site available for Thanksgiving weekend! Arriving after 1800 hrs, Jerry the camp host provided the paperwork to self register. Great price $17/night for full hookups. FamCamp is located straight through the gate, past the ATM & several hangers, not far from the traffic control tower. The site we found (#12), is unpaved, fairly level, with a picnic table & umbrella. There are moderate sized stones in the campsite (to help with erosion in the rain?), which makes it somewhat difficult for my mother, age 97 & USAF Veteran to get around with her rollator. Our site is near the day room, (free) laundry & restrooms. The women’s bathroom has showers with perfect handicapped access, fold down shower seat, grab bars in all the right places, and shower controls within easy reach while seated with hand-held spray. We will definitely come back again!

It's a pretty good place to park if you can get a spot. There seems to be a majority of permanent full timers here and that is even in the blazing hot summer. At any time I saw only 2 or 3 spaces open up in a week. There is no length of stay rules that I am aware of and very few opportunities to get a week or two in this place. It's fairly quiet for an airport. Nicely maintained.

Nice park, clean, the only thing of full time campers (homesteaders if you know what I mean) and that makes it hard to get into park. As far as I know that's not what fam camp what ment to be used for

We decided to stay here instead of driving to Edwards AFB. We should have done this on the last trip through. For a heavy aircraft wing it's very quiet and cozy. Off base is less than desirable but it's a good stop off point in transit and you can't beat $17 a night. I haven't seen a rate that cheap anywhere else and this is LA. Highly recommend it. As a person said before. Not really a vacation spot but it will do.

$17 a night makes this very reasonable. The grounds are clean and maintaned. It is a self service check in, Exchange and Commissary are close by.. its a good spot for its price, not really a vacation spot but is very handy if you need to do business.. close to the pax terminal and RV storage nearby for $35 a month, alot of local business in the area (including auto repair shops abound)

Do NOT follow the directions on your GPS. Half the base was sold and fenced off. Come in the main gate on Ellsworth St. All hookups worked fine. Our campsite was pull through with a gravel surface, concrete patio, picnic table bolted to the ground (too close to the slide), and a bbq. The base is supposed to be a reserve base now but they still play all the standard music every day (national anthem, taps, etc.). The laundry room was clean and well kept with 3 washers and 3 dryers. No wifi unless you went into the office. Don't miss the March Field Air Museum.
