Airplanes taking off don’t bother us. Coming to stay in the dry campground, with reservations, to be told our travel trailer cannot park in that area bothered us alot. A block party of about four huge rv’s and about thirty guests until 10 P.M. did bother us alot. We did not us the bathrooms or laundry, it just wasn’t that kind of place. The location is the only good thing about this park.

I was told that they DO allow skoolies BUT only if you have valid registration as an RV. A bit pricey ... 60-75$ in Sept

We’ve stayed at Dockweiler every summer since 2011. It takes some doing to get a res in the summer, but if nothing matters to you but clean bathrooms, laundry, being ON THE BEACH, and riding your bike up and down THE STRAND, this is a stellar park. We park the truck and cycle from town to town for the entire time we’re here. We love this place.

March 2019. This location was fantastic. Easy travel against traffic to most of the sights we visited on a 7 day GO LA card. We would rather hear the intermittent noise of the airport than most campgrounds next to freeways or at busy Walmart’s. Despite being next to a major sewage treatment plant, we could only notice an odour when driving past a small portion of road east of plant. The laundry room was clean and cheap. The bathrooms were not clean and many only provided COLD showers. Beautiful location. Would look forward to staying again.

Let’s get the whole airport thing out of the way. If the sound of planes taking off bothers you, don’t stay here. Otherwise, stay here. Amazing oceanfrontage, clean park, simple, clean showers, polite staff, wonderful paved bike path along the shore, with nearby conveniences. One star lost due to borderline laundry room. It could definitely use a clean up and modernization of machines. We would return.

This place is loud (LOUD) ok, the jets rage as they take off every minute, the factory next door has a very load motor that runs all day. I don’t know how early it started but, it woke me up early in the morning. Then the garbage man came, dumping the dumpsters, then they Grimes the parking lot with their sweeper machine. I would not come here again if it was the last place on earth. This place can kiss my _ss. And they charge 55-65 dollars, no discounts allowed either and it is a nice parking lot with services.

We stayed here to be close to Manhattan Beach to visit a friend. It was great to be on the beach. I can put up with the solid asphalt "tarmac" (as one reviewer put it), the small spaces, etc. for the opportunity to be on the beach in So Cal. However, this park is literally right next to LA International Airport. The jets do come and go all day and all night. And the jets are very loud - especially at night. Hopefully we can find a park in a better location for the next trip!

California business owners are such greedy people...Everything has to be expensive and without amenities to match the fees they charge for services...

Add a star if you like the beach or if you like watching jet airliners screaming overhead every 60 seconds 24/7. This place was terrible. It was a large Tarmac with 3 rows of campers tightly packed in. We walked out our door right into the sewer port. A nearby waste treatment plant stunk up the area. There was no WiFi. The dog runs were little more than sandbox sized and no one was cleaning them out. And it was expensive! I would NOT stay here again.

If you're visiting LA and don't want to be an hour away, this is the place to stay. Basically a huge parking lot with utilities. Sites are close together and on busy weekends it's a busy, noisy place. If you're actually going to stay at the park during the day, then it's worth the price to pay for the front row, otherwise rows 2&3 are just as good if you're only sleeping there. Bathrooms have showers, are clean but nothing fancy. Beach is great and has fire rings. The airport flight path noise was audible but didn't bother us at all.
