Loud, obnoxious drunken groups. Pricey wheel chock stolen overnight. Booked two nights, left the morning after the first night. Will not return.

Thought I would write this review as there have been none in a couple of years. This park was at the epicenter of the 2019 fires and was totally burned except for the interpretive center which survived. Less than one year later it is quite beautiful and except for some burn scars and burned trees you would not know that there had been a fire here. The trails have not all been repaired but the interpretive signage is up and they are working to continue to bring this area back to better than it was. That said, this is a beautiful and mostly quiet park. There are no hookups and the parking pads are quite uneven. This park is very popular with local weekend campers, most of whom are tent campers. There are many beautiful trails for hiking and mountain biking and lots of interesting places to explore like the site where M.A.S.H. Was made.

Nice state park campground in the LA area. Lots of hiking trails.
We stayed here in October (on a Saturday) and April ( on a Tuesday). There is not a lot is shade, which may be a problem in the summer. On the weekend it can get noisy with lots of campfires going if allowed.

Very nice place. Beware that the geocoordinates for the gmap are for a gate that is normally locked. Disconcerting if arriving after dark! If coming from Malibu, simply continue on Las Virgenes for another quarter mile.

Nice park in a stunningly beautiful location. Lots of hiking trails. Served as a location for dozens of films and tv, including MASH and American Sniper and many oldies. We used it as a base to visit L.A. Museums. Worked great. They do lock the gate at 10, so watch your late nights out.
