Not really much of a "park". Two rows of parking spaces with power and water. They charge $10 more per night to be on the ocean side of the parking lot, which is maybe 30 feet from the hwy side. Right next to HWY 1 which. People love to use that straight stretch of road as a drag strip so be prepared for extreme car noises in the middle of the night.

Amazingly close to the ocean - 100 yards to the water. Great place if you like hanging out at the beach, love using the fire pits to roast marshmallows at night. Unfortunately the heavy traffic of the PCH is about 50 ft from the camping spots and the noise is constant since it is a busy highway. Spots are tight, not much room to maneuver and make sitting out by your rig cramped. Prices are also very expensive for a state park in my opinion.

This is basically a glorified parking lot for RV’s. Very noisy. Showers average. Expensive too, but that is California. One star, but because it’s beachfront I’ll give 2 stars. Unless you adore the beach I would not recommend.

This park ranks a 4 because of its location & friendliness & helpfulness of the campground hosts. Negatives I consider to be minor are: noise from the Pacific Coast Highway and the fact that most sites lack a table. Also, the campground is extremely popular and it is difficult to get reservations.
