Easy drive back in from the freeway to a lovely, quiet spot along the Klamath River. We stayed in late October so the colors were glorious. The park is spotlessly clean, and the folks are helpful, friendly, and considerate. Right before departing, we discovered we had a blown tire. The staff assured us we could stay until our help arrived at no extra charge. We appreciated their kind response and are planning a return trip.

If you are looking for a restful place to sit and enjoy the river, this is a great place. Spaces are cement and level. You front in because of where the hookups are located. Nice laundry with snacks and ice for sale on an honor system. Bathrooms are clean. Showers nice with common dressing room. Ok WiFi which can be upgraded for minimal cost. Can kayak or float and for a cost, hosts will pick you up. Fishing available. No hiking as all the surrounding land is private property. Hosts are pleasant and helpful. The wind can come up in the afternoon, so watch your awning. We liked spaces 9,10,11,12,13,14 the best.

Nice place! Easy access from I-5, friendly check in. New owners as of 2018 and they’ve made many quality improvements. Level pads, 30 and 50 amp service, good WiFi. Decent space between pads, and green grass down to the river which is the main attraction. (Lesson learned: leave the party lights off or else the bugs will come inside.) Heated floor in the shower building. Honor refrigerator and freezer with Ben and Jerry’s! The road is kinda crappy but it was well worth slowing down to get here. Super easy close to a nice reservoir. We’ll be back!

If you’re looking for an RV park in the middle of a casino parking lot with a water slide park and Ferris wheel next to the freeway, this place is not for you. However, if you’re looking for large concrete pads surrounded by acres of well maintained grass next to a rambling river miles from the incessant freeway noise, this is the place for you. I understand that the salmon are beginning to run in the Klamath if you’re into fishing. You will seldom find such a nice park. Definitely worth the $.

This is NOT a resort. It is a nice campground near the river. Clean and well kept but no resort amenities. Definitely not worth $60 a night.

Blue Heron fits the perfect definition of Hidden Gem. It is the nicest most restful and pleasant park we have visited during our 2 year adventure. Sites are large and uniquely spaced to provide gorgeous panoramic views of the babbling Klamath River and surrounding rolling hills. Under new management, the owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous park in all respects.

Blue Heron was one we had wanted to stop at for some time. Last weekend we had our chance after being invited to a nearby friend's ranch for dinner. Although late fall, the colors were still spectacular. We virtually had the place to ourselves - I think only 3 or 4 sites were occupied. A gracious reception in the office and our choice of sites for our class C and toad. We picked a beautiful, level all concrete site right along the Klamath River. Perfectly level, large patio area with picnic table - nearby bathrooms & laundry! Lots of deer came by in the evening and wild horses in the morning! All in all, a beautiful spot. Very limited cellular and the WiFi is spotty - but you are in the middle of no-where so that's ok. If you want signal, drive a few minutes down the road!

Too bad the restaurant was/is closed - that would have made a great addition! Hopefully they can open again one day...

Here's a video I shot while there...

This Hidden Gem is off the beaten path and simply amazing. The spots along the river have both rear and side views! The sites are large and well designed for max privacy and views. The wild horses come down from the hills every evening and add to the wildlife along the river. The owner, Kathy is kind and honest. We will DEFINITELY stay here again!

Very unique stay!!! We were traveling down I5 from Grants Pass (on Thanksgiving evening). We originally were planning on staying at the KOA just outside Grants Pass but didn't........We saw Blue Heron on ¿ìÈýƽ̨ and decided to give it a try rather than continuing on to Redding were there were plenty of options to choose from. It was around 6:00PM when we pulled in and it was pitch black except for the lights coming from the RV unit spaces' electrical boxes. It was freezing cold out, around 38 degrees. We pulled in to a site that backed up to the Klamath River, and were immediately greeted by the camp host. We were one of three rigs in the entire park. He gave us a quick overview of the park, and gave us the bathroom/laundry room door codes and the Wi-fi login information. We were blown away when we entered the bathroom and it was comfortably warm and very, very spacious and clean. I went to the shower and the water came out piping hot. With so few guests in the park, this was a very pleasant surprise. The site we had (as are ALL the other sites) was level with a very large concrete parking slab. There was plenty of space between each of the sites which was all grass. The layout and execution of the park's sites was one of the best we have seen. If there was a drawback, it was the not so steady wi-fi and that there was no cable options. LOVED IT, and can't wait to come back during the spring and summer seasons.
