We towed our 17芒鈧劉 Casita trailer down from Sacramento, where we keep it stored and we芒鈧劉re very appreciative of the directions given in the camp website. Our experience (so far) is that campground 芒鈧 especially those that accommodate the behemoth RVs 芒鈧 do stack the campsites right next to each other. Despite this 芒鈧 and remember because our trailer is so small and we spend most of our time outside 芒鈧 we didn芒鈧劉t really mind it because the surrounding redwoods were so beautiful and our site (#11) abutted a (dry) stream. It seems to be very family friendly, and we would definitely book again. I芒鈧劉m not sure why a previous camper complained when, with no reservation, they found the campground full. Beautiful, Quiet, Clean, Friendly.

Very family oriented. Playground basketball courts. Tight spaces with little privacy but everyone was super nice. Beautiful cool setting jn trees. We drove next door into Henry Cowell park. There芒鈧劉s also a little beach river area you can access. Cute place!

The Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort was very nice. Located within the redwood trees and backs up to the San Lorenzo river. We have a 28芒鈧劉 TT with one slide out. We stayed in site 33 next to the clubhouse, which is the last site on that row. We arrived around 6pm Friday night, the office was closed and almost all the spaces were already filled. That created a nightmare for attempting to back into site 33 with almost no clearance on either side. Thankfully two fellow campers came to our aid and helped me back in. A special shout out to campers Joe and Dave! It literally took almost 20 minutes due to how tight the space was. I had read that some of the spaces were tight, but that was an understatement for site 33 and 32. Thankfully, the site required minimal leveling, however, all my hookups were in the middle of site 32芒鈧劉s patio area. Because of how close we were to our neighbors, we quickly became friends and drinking pals, so kudos on that front. However, we could easily hear them and they could easily hear us when in our campsites. It was so tight, that we couldn芒鈧劉t even put out our 8芒鈧劉x12芒鈧劉 rug or extend our awning. Once settled in and de-stressed via a cocktail it was actually quite a nice park nestled in the redwoods. The kids said the showers worked great and had plenty of pressure and hot water. Lots of families and kids riding bikes, scooters and playing. We were totally fine with that but if you want peace and quite, I芒鈧劉d recommend a mid-week stay. The WiFi worked well considering how packed the campground was. The restrooms were very clean. The Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort worked great as a home base. We went to the Mystery Spot, the beach and out to a nice dinner at The Crow芒鈧劉s Nest in Santa Cruz which is 10 minutes away. We will be back in a few weeks (Memorial Day weekend) to go to the beach boardwalk, however, we will be getting a much better site for backing in. Definitely use the directions on the SC Redwoods RV Resort website to get there safely with your rig. Do not come up Hwy 9, it芒鈧劉s WAY too narrow.

Highlight of our vacation, camping in and next to redwoods, tight parking but not a problem. I would highly recommend, very kid friendly.

Don't drive up Highway 9 from Santa Cruz! Hwy 9 suffered damage from storms during the winter of 2017 and is VERY NARROW. Drive to Felton, and then travel south on Hwy 9.

Your trip will be worth the drive. This campground is nestled in the beautiful Redwoods along the Sant Cruz River.

Book the spaces along the river if possible, and wake to the sound of rushing water below.

Clean facilities, great big outdoor sinks for washing dishes, and friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful area, friendly staff, but can get VERY crowded. We stayed during a peak time, so we expected it to be busy, but even so, we were surprised. They really pack the units in here- all we could see out most of our windows was the side of other trailers, and my awning was very nearly touching my neighbor's rig. A bit like an RV dealership with trees... Plenty of kids around, may be a good thing or not, depending on your point of view.

We are not impressed! We called explaining our need to check in at 930 or 10. Yes they had room no they would not care to allow us a late check in..... Ummm really?

Well, it's a year later &, because of our great experience last time, we planned to stay here again on our way home. We didn't make reservations as the place was quite sparsely populated & delightfully quiet before. We arrived late on a Friday night to quite a shock. The park was packed solid! The lady in the office was very nice, advising there was no vacancies anywhere in the area & our best bet was to boondock somewhere. We were not sorry to leave, as we have never seen an RV park so jam packed. Every bit of real estate was occupied, with tents filling in any space between RVs. Plus, there was the screeching of kids. Yes, we should have made reservations, but we were glad we didn't, & our first night boondocking in a nearby parking lot was not so bad. Lesson learned: Over time, conditions of RV parks can change for the worse, or for the better.

I can't say enough about the friendly, helpful staff here. We ended up with a dead battery due to issues with our car alarm & a flat tire due to a nail. Ack! Needless to say we were pretty uptight, but the good-natured guys at the park put us totally at ease, giving us a jump & pumping up the tire to get us to their recommended Ernie's Garage in Felton, just 5 mins away. Repaired for $19, plus found a bakery the sells huge, delicious fritters!

The park is nestled in redwoods & has a beautiful creek at the rear to wander along. The sites are nice. Gravel & pretty level...next time I'd request one less open, but that's a matter of taste. At least there's a choice. Also varied sites for large drive-thru or small back-ins.

We used the laundry facilities, which were very clean. We didn't need anything else, so can't comment on washrooms, etc.

We were there in our 18' travel trailer.
