I’m giving this spot 4* despite a bunch of comments below! Why? Yes it’s close to Hwy 101, and therefore there’s traffic noise. But closer to office it’s not an issue. We spent two nights at Humbug Mtn State Park in Oregon and it was just as loud, probably louder as the trucks use their Jake brakes on the downhill. The park is very tidy, the host German was very friendly and helpful with information. The bathroom and showers were some of the cleanest and warm ( it’s earlyDecember) that I can remember. Ok, go down the road a little more, pay $20 more and you’ll get a bit quieter. We’d stay here again for sure. As for the comments about the homeless folk walking the tidal path, each one we passed greeted us warmly and kept on walking. Not an issue!

The campground is too noisy, right next to the highway. The location is very convenient: next to gas station, small grocery shop, target, restaurants. Access to the waterfront trail, very beautiful to walk or bicycle ride. The campground is clean, no showers. Homeless people digging through the garbage cans, or seat on the site tables. Good for one night stop, not so pleasant for longer stay.

I called to make arrangements for the night and the man insisted that I just show up vs pay over the phone. I waited out front for 45 mins and called him several times on his cell and main camp number. My family had to boon-dock 16 miles up the road.

Right off freeway, but convenient to town. Manicured sites, asphalt and grass. Best just for passing through.
