We stayed two nights. They called us to be sure we knew where to find our envelope if arriving after Hrs. And explain internet connection. Verizon service was sketchy and the internet was very slow. The park was well kept and clean. The spaces were large and level. We’re self contained so I cant comment on the bathrooms or showers

We were a little Leary of staying based on previous reviews. But so glad to find they are wrong. The manager came out to check us in even though it was after business hours. Incredibly nice and friendly she took the time to explain all the policies and was super helpful! They even sent us a list of things to see and do in the area. Yes they do use tokens for showers (seen other RV parks do same) but as we are self contained not an issue. Great WiFi and cable TV . We stayed a week and would stay again!

A WalMart parking lot would be better. Just drive on by. EVERTHING about this place was total BS. Shower tokens? One Wifi user/device per family?! Anyone other than driver and shotgun are considered guests and you will pay more for them, this includes your own children! I could go on, but I need to let this go. By FAR the worst place I stayed.

She will have manager call Monday morning.
Do NOT stay here!   My wife called and reserved a spot the day before we arrived for a ‪two-night‬ stay.  She was given a price of $45.  She asked if Verizon service was good.   She was told excellent and they also had internet. ÂÂ
We arrived on the day scheduled ‪at 3:15pm‬.   A sign on the office said they were at lunch and directed us to take an envelope on the side of the building.   There were several envelopes.  None with our name on it.  As directed, we grabbed one of the envelopes and set up on the site.
Later that afternoon my wife went to the office to complete the paperwork and they said we parked in the wrong spot and asked us to move.  When we refused, they proceeded to charge us $55 for each day.  $10 more than promised. Since we were already set up my wife said OK and paid the bill.  So, they basically did a bait and switch. ÂÂ
Verizon service worked but only as extended and 1X. This gave no data access at all. Verizon service at 1x will only work for voice.
They promised Internet service. Once I connected to the service, the connection would drop every 30 seconds.  Totally useless.
The next morning, I tried to go to the office to notify them that I would be leaving, and I wanted a refund for the second night. Again, there was nobody in the office. So, I called the number listed on the door and talk to a lady who said she would refund the second night. Then at the end of the conversation she said that she would need to verify with her manager. So, I left without getting a refund. The manager called the next day and told me that would be unlikely would get a refund as the park has a non-refund policy.
Again, I was only requesting a refund for one night not both and still agreed to pay the additional charge. The manager then called me back later in the day and said that they will not refund so I am going to fight the entire charge through my credit card company. I also intend to post this on every social media site available.
DO NOT STAY HERE!  ÂÂ

Nice and clean park, all connections worked well. The girls in the office aren’t the friendliest but that is not why I’m here. Best full hook up park in the area although not much to choose from. Crescent City isn’t the cute beachy-type of a town, and this park is in the small community of Hiouchi which has a nice convenience store, cafe, etc. The big draw is the Redwoods, and that is fantastic. Great park for 3-4 days.

Stoped for one night on our way down the coast. Appears no improvements have been made to park over the past year (previous comment mentioned new owners and possible improvements). Our spot was on the outside near the road which is extremely busy during the day. Noise from young people but quiet after 10pm. Okay for one night's stay but wouldn't stay longer in spite of the beautiful area.

The place is run down to an extreme. This is too bad because the location is fantastic.
Faciliti s are extremely dated. Shower stalls are moldy and cruddy. Restrooms are in need of a lot of TLC.
Wifi is useless. Grounds are in need of basic landscape.
But there is hope. This lark has recently changed hands and the new owners are committed to bring it back up to resort standards.
I would avoid for the next 6 months and check back to see how much progress they have made.

We were very unhappy with having to pay for showers. When we asked if there were other campgrounds in the area (the KOA was closed for winter), we were told they didn't have that information. We could not use their wifi to look for ourselves. We should have left, but chose to stay and later discovered that the State/Federal Parks had free, hot showers and bathrooms. Despite this, we had a great time but would never go to this campground again - especially in winter. I had to wear a sweater and scarf to do my laundry as they did not heat ANY of their buildings - except of course where the staff worked.

Quite stay here. Most of the sites were gravel and lots of room. Parallel parking was different but lots of space to do it. Great hiking spots in the Jedediah Smith forest and River. Would stay again but ask for another site with trees. Very nice people operating it.
