Great city park. Very clean and quiet. As people have stated there ants but sprayed some insect repellent and no problems. Great for dog walking hiking and just relaxing. Will for sure be back.

Nice regional park, I liked that you can reserve online and pick your own spot. Our site was pretty level, concrete pad but mostly surrounded by red dirt and dry brush which acts as the privacy fence. Clean bathrooms and showers all in one and there were enough but we didn芒鈧劉t use them. Amazing views but the traffic noise of 2 major freeways and airplanes was very noticeable. Full hook up sites that were reasonably priced. Nice to see people on horses and bikes throughout the trails. Ants were a huge problem, so be warned. WiFi was good. Stayed Monday to Friday, not busy for summer but were told gets busy on weekends.

Great public campground close in to urban areas but still with a campground feel. We stayed in the new loop with full hookups for 21 days芒鈧漷he limit in any 30 day period. Campground is next to Sweetwater Reservoir芒鈧漬ice water views from trails. There芒鈧劉s lots of walking trails芒鈧漡ood place for walking dogs. North loop sites are very nice芒鈧漧evel, asphalt and concrete. Most are a pretty good size and have a fire ring and picnic table. Many have views, but we thought the view sites were noisier as they overlook a couple of freeways. Freeway noise was not as annoying as the airplanes芒鈧漃ark is directly under the commercial flight path, although airport has a restriction on flights from about 11pm to 6:30 am. The older loop has trees and grass and some sites are very nice. Unfortunately it芒鈧劉s hard to figure out which sites are suitable in the older loop just from the description and small picture in the reservation site.

It芒鈧劉s gotten to be a joke with us that wherever we stay we can hear a train; not so here. However, it芒鈧劉s under the flight path for SAN and overlooking a freeway. LOL. This is a very nice RV area of a very nice county park. Our space was neat and clean, had a concrete pad that was almost dead-level, and utilities all worked well and were neat and well-cared-for. The person checking in ahead of us was warned to keep everything locked up, but he was going to the eastern (non-full-hookups) loop. Kidding aside, neither aircraft nor freeway noise were objectionable to us, and view from our site, while suburban, was very pleasant. We had a very pleasant stay, would return and would recommend.

All hookups worked fine. The space we were assigned in the north loop was a little overgrown and caused concern. Our site was also unlevel and required blocks to level on the dirt surface. The concrete patio table is unmovable so work around it. The Wifi was non-existent. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Most sites were pull thru. The dump station is unusable for big rigs because of a tight turn and tree branches. We found an empty site in the south loop and dumped there. The entrance/exit road is 11% grade. The entrance has two lanes but one is blocked off. The gate house is where you register and everyone else is stuck behind anybody checking in. There was an RV checking in, 3 cars in front of us and 9 cars behind us all waiting to enter the campground. One of the two people in the gate house should have come out and waved us around the camper. Many of the campers in the campground were old and worn. There seemed to be some kind of musical spaces going on with rigs in a site for one or two nights then in another then another. We stayed 5 nights and the same motor coach with no license plates showed up in three different sites. Other RVs were also moving around.

So glad we gave this place a chance. I was a little worried about the notes about the homeless people and thieft. We saw none of that. We opted for the North Loop which is newer with concert sites but the lower loop looked good also. Maintence was working everyday to keep the park clean. No issues at night it was nice and quiet. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Park was ok. Full hookups on the new side. Ants weren't a problem, (we spread Boraxo around Rv when we arrived),however homeless is a problem. Since it's a county park they can't control who comes into the park plus bathrooms which are individual are a late night hookup place and sleeping quarters for the homeless also as the gate isn't operated 24 hours a day. It's too bad as other things about this park are good.

This place was great, I especially love the wildflowers that grow throughout the park and the separation it provides between sites. It really gives the campground a cool vibe. The park is very well maintained and offers alot for hikers and families. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the distance from San Diego and the fact the road coming in only allowed 7 tons as we drive a 40ft Class A RV and weigh quite a bit more than that. Their was no issue driving in and it is definitely big rig friendly. Overall this place was great, we actually extended our stay by a few days after arriving.

We stayed at this park for about 10 days. I loved it, there was good space between sites and lots of trails and birds to watch. You were also right in the city so it made day trips very easily accessible. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. The wifi didn't work at all on the farthest loop but we had an ok signal along the pull the U.S. closest to the park. There are two playgrounds here that the kids loved.
