As of August 24, 2020, this facility will be closed until sometime in 2021, including all camping, for renovations. If I were giving a review, I would give it the lowest possible rating to try to keep others away, so I will have a better chance of getting in. Selfish and self serving? Yes.

We have another favorite campsite. Only 5 RV sites, so I was shocked to be able to get a reservation for a June weekend. When we arrived, only 2 of the 5 sites were occupied. By Sunday, we were all alone. Power and water at all 5 sites but a dump station is located near the 5 sites. The lodge has a pool table and reasonably priced beer, wine, firewood and the ability to rent DVD’s and borrow games. It has a nice pine tree canopy that shade all 5 of the RV sites. I have no idea why this place is a ghost town on a summer weekend. Although, be aware, the address on the website won’t get you to the location if you use Apple maps, make sure you go to MCCS Big Bear if using Apple. Also, the last quarter mile is a horrendous pothole filled road that caused the drawers in my trailer to fly open and break their sliders. Make sure everything is secured in your RV before going the final quarter mile.

Very nice location located close to skiing. Too pricey though.
