The place and people were amazing. I highly recommend it. And so close to downtown Vancouver. Water power sewer hookups without a hitch and grassy spots with many privacy shrubs. And if you’re status you don’t pay tax!

The spaces here are tight, and some of them seem to be occupied by long-termers. But the place is clean and well maintained, and the bathrooms large. WiFi only works in the lounge/laundry building or in front of the shower building, but it works there very well. For the Vancouver area, the location is probably the best available. Very friendly staff and the office is open for late arrivals until 11PM. We stayed here in June 2023 in a campervan and would stay again.

The best and worst feature of Capilano River RV Park is it’s location. It lies beneath the Lions Gate Bridge and is difficult to enter with a large RV due to road construction. However it is walking distance to great shopping at Park Royal and a great walking park, Stanley Park. It is a short distance to the downtown area, but you must cross the very congested Lions Gate. Staff are friendly and facilities clean. The spaces are super tight. Our neighbor’s awning almost touched our slide out. I considered the price high at $85/daily. There is plenty of highway noise at night, sirens from emergency vehicles will wake you up.

Great location and clean area. Spots are super close to each other but luckily we had no neighbors so it felt more spacious. Showers were free and pool was clean.

Park us in a GREAT location close to Vancouver and Stanley Park and a nice walking/biking trail along the shore to Ambleside. Grocery stores, liquor etc. in a mall you can easily walk to. This type of access/location is VERY rare near big cities. Loses a star for REALLY tight spaces and poor wifi.

Glad we called ahead before trying to check in, they have a 2 pet policy and we have three small dogs. They were kind of rude about a policy they don’t even have listed on their website. Happy to go elsewhere.

The campground is nice a great location however these are the smallest RV spots I have ever seen. Some campers could not fully extend their awnings. I am full time and stay in hundreds of RV parks and this is the worst in over two years. Good Sams gave this park almost a perfect score is the reason for my reservations. Other RV apps and Yelp this park has only one or two stars. The reason for only one star is due to an extremely rude employee at the check-in desk. Within one minute of opening her mouth I regretted my reservations. Not only was she extremely rude and condescending to me but other customers as well. In the ten minutes of check-in she was rude to three other customers. One customer as a simple question and instead of answering she lectured them about they should have read the information given them upon check-in. This employees behavior is well documented by others on Yelp and other RV park review sites. The only reason to stay here is location.

This RV park is very clean and well maintained. It's washrooms are also clean and fresh. It's located right beside the Lion's Gate Bridge to Stanley Park and Vancouver--there are pedestrian/bicycle accesses to the bridge from the park. That means the traffic back ups (noise) are just above the tent campers and visible to others. The wifi is excellent and works better than any I've seen in an RV park. Access is OK, except for the 160 degree left turn when approaching from the East/mall.

First...a warning. Be very careful to keep going straight at the intersection of Capilano Road and Marine Drive, then angle a bit to the left onto Lower Capilano Road (go slow, huge speed bumps!). If you turn right on to Marine, you likely will be sucked into the bad traffic going on to the Lions Gate Bridge and into downtown Vancouver. This happened to us, but we only have a 22' truck camper and we're able to recover, turn around, and get back. Nice park, no views, and expensive. Internet works well. Buses ($2.75 CA) go into Vancouver regularly.
