The biggest plus for us are a number of trails going from the campground to Port Hardy (about 3km along the shore), to nature reserve, and others. Washrooms and showers are clean and accessible. Sites are smallish and not very private, but I didn’t camp to hang out in the campground.

Off season this is the only hook up camp site in Port Hardy. We had partiers in the caravan not far from the one they allocated to us and there were cars coming and going until 4am with loud music until 1am. Showers where hot and staff friendly. A bit sketchy.
