We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient to hiking and exploring Strathcona Provincial Park. We’re self-contained in our 8 meter (25 foot) MH and don’t use the facilities. We stayed on weekend in late September. We arrived late on Saturday evening and the CG was about half full. This is a very nice CG, convenient to trailheads in the northern part of the park. There are about a dozen sites on the lake. The remaining sites are arrayed on 3 loops in the forest. The sites are generously sized, gravel, mostly level and tucked into the trees for shade and privacy. There pit toilets and water pumps (no fittings to fill an RV) scattered throughout. There’s no dump station. There’s no cell coverage.

An attractive campground on the shore of battle lake, good swimming and fishing. Large sites with lots of trees. No hook ups. Cost $16
