We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient to explore Campbell River area. We're self-contained in our 8 meter (25 foot) MH and don't use the facilities. We stayed on weeknights in late September. We arrived late in the afternoon and the CG was half occupied. This is a large (~100 sites), pleasant primitive (no hookups) CG right outside of Campbell River. The sites are generously sized, dirt, level and surrounded by trees and shrubs for privacy and shade. Some are fight on the river. There's water spigots, pit toilets and trash dumpsters. There's a pay dump station. There's a good ATT/Rogers and Verizon/Rogers cell signal. There are trails in and near the CG. It's a short drive to Campbell River.

Lovely dry camping CG by stream. Campsites not too close together, and dense forest makes your site feel quite private. Water spigots are spaced very far apart as are the pit toilet bathrooms. No hook-ups at sites. Dump now cost $5, and is not included in your camp fee. Great hiking trails along creek, up to hatchery and thru forest.
