Stayed here, June 16, 2024. So much nicer than I anticipated. Asphalt site parking and trees for shade. These Big sites even have a concrete block Ramada with concrete floor to house the picnic table! A very nice store too & nice people. I didn’t use the shower or bathroom.

Showers very clean, hot water, park very roomy, we stayed in site 6, nice walking trails, night sky was great not a lot of light pollution, raccoons at nights came visiting, so NO food outside. Will come back again. Water pressure was 45psi. Sites and roads are blacktop. Lake was very nice. Good fishing Well done AZ parks department!!

This is a beautifully maintained park. Roomy sites, clean bathrooms with excellent water pressure. 5+ miles of pristine trails/paths, and a very nice lake and day use areas. All of this at the foot of one of the tallest mountains in Arizona, Mt. Graham. Couldn’t have asked for more during our 3 day stay.

Lovely park, clean sites and facilities, peaceful lake, even with water levels done this year. Lots of birds and hiking trails.

We continue to return to Roper every year either on entry to Arizona or on our way out and back north. The sites are still clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and everything works. The fish sometimes bite.
One thing that was a great surprise this year was that the park wifi is finally functional. You can actually connect to it and get a reasonable response to web pages and e-mail. Well done Roper.

When your biggest complaint is there’s no shampoo shelf in the shower, you know it’s a winner! Good Verizon signal, but don’t count on WiFi. Everyone is so nice, and park is immaculate. Good views from every site, $30 for electric, $20 without. Pick up wood at Dollar General near park entrance.

Loved our trip out here. Saw cardinals, road runners, enjoyed the lake, and like driving up Swift Trail up Mt Graham. Quiet, serene, and under populated.

What a find, the reviews couldn’t be anymore accurate. Spots were spacious with room between sites for privacy. The dog run was great to let the dogs off leash and let them run around. We honestly have nothing bad to say, we will diffidently be back!!!

We visited this place a 2nd time since our 2018 visit. We like the lake. The set ups are great. Fishing is great although our luck was not. Since last year the telcos placed a cell tower which improved the AT&T and Verizon signals. The park ranger proudly gave us the park wifi password. The guest wifi never worked. In fact, as the park filled up over a weekend they just turned off the wifi all together. Also, on our first night it was cold enough that the water was off for part of the day for some repairs. It was fixed before the evening.
We visited in Jan. of 2019 in a 32 ft Class A with a TOAD.
