We stayed here to get work done on our RV in Mesa. I fell in love with this park. The sites are spacious. We had plenty of room for our 40' fifth wheel & truck. All the plants were blooming and birds galore. The trails are awesome. We stayed here in mid April for three nights. This is definitely top of the list for the Phoenix area.

The sites were spacious and really beautiful backing right up to the desert. The sunsets were spectacular. We were there in November. Trails were easy to access from the campground. The trails are high-quality, well-maintained, can be hiked or using a bike. Different levels of complexity on the trails for experienced or not experienced hikers. Would definitely stay again.

Maricopa County parks are some of the best run I芒鈧劉ve seen in my extensive experience as a camper 芒鈧 via motorcycle, auto, and RV. They are top-notch and consistent in their amenities and quality of sites.
We were only able to get 2 nights at Usery during peak season but like the other parks, it芒鈧劉s simply gorgeous. Our site was spacious and level on the parking pad. Plenty of room to pull out our sidecar and park it without having to trip over as we moved around camp. The bathrooms are always clean and the free showers are a huge bonus. The partial hookups worked fine and the 2-slot dump station was in good order.
The only issue we had was that getting the toy hauler far enough back to accommodate the full length of our rig (50芒鈧劉) meant the rear jacks were in a lower area that dropped off at the rear of the site so they had to be extended to their full height to stabilize. But that芒鈧劉s a very workable problem though. A little more rearranging and we probably could have avoided that issue. But setting up on the rain and being quite tired, we just made it work instead of faffing about more for the short time we would be there.
The Buckhorn nature trail from the campground is lovely but narrow in parts and tough to keep the dog from bumping into cactuses. So just take care if you have a pooch with you.
There was a good bit of noise from the nearby shooting range that wasn芒鈧劉t awful but still frightened the dog. We chose the furthest site available for our stay to minimize that so I芒鈧劉m not sure how much worse it is closer to the range. If not for that noise, this would be a 5-star park. You just have to be aware that there is a range nearby and accept the noise. It芒鈧劉s still worth it for such a lovely park.
There was almost no Verizon signal. Just enough to be a tease, not enough to be useful. We work from the road as full-time RVers and we had not yet acquired a signal booster so we were dead in the water as far as work goes.

I really love this park. The sites are level with a sight adjustment. The desert plants and the birds are spectacular. Hiking trails are good and the volunteers keep the park in excellent condition. The only reason I didn芒鈧劉t rate it as a five was because of the gun range down the road, for me it really disturbed the beauty and tranquility of the park for me, that芒鈧劉s all I could hear all day long.

This park rivals Gilbert Ray in Tucson for its plant diversity and beauty. Camp spots are far apart, clean and level. They are dirt/gravel so might be a bit muddy In a hard rain. Bathrooms are heated, newer and very clean. ATT cell service was good. The Chain Fruit and Lost Sheep trails were very pretty.

We stayed in site 63 in a 32 ft class A with a TOAD. This was a pleasant surprise. The roads in were reasonably wide and it was easy to back into the sites. The park has great views of the low mountains that are crowded with saguaros. The bathrooms were typical 芒鈧搑egional芒鈧 style with open airways to the shower and restrooms. AT&T cell coverage is non-existent. Verizon coverage is moderate.

Very nice park! Stayed here for a couple days earlier in the month.
I was driving a 33 ft motorhome pulling a 10 ft enclosed trailer and I had no problem getting in or out. I was a little unsure about the size of the back-in spots so I opted for a pull through (site 60). The spot was well maintained and plenty of room.
The only problem I had (which I kinda knew going into it) was the electric/water was on the wrong end for my MH. I had plenty of water onboard so I just ran an extension cord to power.
I didn't get to do much sightseeing around the park because I had other commitments, but the weather this time of year was perfect. I burnt a few logs in the fire pit and just kicked back. The evenings were very quiet and you're far enough away from the town to see the lights, but don't hear any commotion.
Very nice park with a good price, I would definitelystay here again and recommend others to do so as well.

Lovely park. Sites are so spacious, private and most had some shade. Good for short or longer hikes or mountain biking. Many sites are far from restrooms, if that matters to you. Extended our stay to 12 days.

Beautiful park. Our two sites were a bit too sloped to get level but everything else is fantastic. We have a 40 ft motorhome. Everyone we dealt with was so friendly. The short hiking trails around the campsites were stunning. The cave hike is wonderful - start early so the sun is still behind the mountain and also to beat the crowds. Would recommend highly
