Stopped for the night at 8 pm. Found a taco truck open for business. I think all rest area’s should have a taco truck. The area was noisy from the interstate and truck going though the car parking area.

Pulled off to the area on the right, plenty of room to park. Felt safe, and quiet (besides some of the louder semis that drove by). We didn’t use the restrooms there at all, but the adobe shelters with picnic tables are nice.

5/9/21: Open and Over Night permitted. We stayed on the gravel road on the western edge of the rest stop. Talked with Maint. Do not block pavilions. They are for day use only. No water or dump.
