Followed advice from a previous reviewer who said follow sign for cars and we went to dirt lot just past paved parking and stayed overnight. It was relatively quiet and no safety concerns. We would definitely stay here again.

Restrooms were clean and stocked. My only issue was that my dog picked up over a dozen sticker burs in five minutes. Be aware you’ll need to check your pets feet before leaving.

Looks like it could be a nice place but as the description mentioned, more often as not closed. Would Gabe been nice if they took the CLOSED sign and put it two miles to the east and covered up the REST STOP OPEN sign.

Remodeled somewhat recently it seems with touch less fixtures in bathroom and new asphalt. Considering how some of these rest areas can be put toilets going to go ahead and give this 4 stars. It was FULL of trucks parked (at sunrise), though, with semis on the auto side as well (which had lots of parallel parking available too)
