Camp sites are perfect, lovely large spaces. We were on the lower loop and my gripe is the closure of the bathrooms during our stay. This necessitated using the upper loop which was quite a schepp to get to. The bathrooms were fairly large, wish the showers had been cleaner.

Lovely campground with well/spaced paved sites. The numerous Camp Hosts keep the campground and facilities spotless. Pro Tip: Book your Cavern Tours in advance!

What a lovely quiet state park with water & electric for $30 (site#18 - 30amps) plus a small ($3+) non-refundable administrative fee. Showers are spacious & clean. The sites are blacktopped & back-in with a table & fire ring at each site. 10 of the 62 sites are pull thrus. This is a DARK SKY PARK so no exterior lights from 8:30pm-7:30am. Low level intensity rope lights are permitted. NO camp lights to direct you to the rest rooms - don’t forget a flashlight. The sky was FULL of bright stars that are so easily seen when away from cities with so much light pollution. Will definitely be back!

We made the mistake of going here in the winter thinking it would be warm - I mean it’s Arizona right? However, This place is high in elevation so it was icy cold both day and night. The campground is laid out in a strange manner: most sites are right next to each other, while only a few others are farther apart. Why not space them evenly so people have space around the sites?? Many sites are short and will not accommodate a large rig, so you do need to check the dimensions online very carefully when making a reservation. Many sites are not level. There is no screening between the sites, and that would have been OK if the sites were further apart, but most are jammed together. There are some nice views. Check the sites online very carefully to try and get a site that has some spacing between you and your neighbors. Note also that for sure this is not the place to stay in the winter unless you bring ski jacket, hat, gloves, scarf, and plan to be inside your RV the whole time!!!

This is a fantastic state park. Water and 50 amp. All roads and sites are paved. Camp hosts are wonderful. We are in a pull through site with a big rig towing and we have plenty of room. Nice trails. Very cool in the evenings and overnight. Super quiet place. Highly recommend this stop. 5 miles south of I-10.

Great quiet spot. Little bit of highway noise early evening but dies off. Very nice bathrooms/showers directly across from our spot (20). Darkest campsite I’ve visited at night. Very good for star gazing right at your spot and even better a short walk away from campsite lighting. Benson 10 minutes away for supplies.

We are leaving tomorrow. Have been here 5 nights and have nothing but good things to say. Level sites, not crowded together, good restroom, lots to see around here. Hosts were attentive and courteous. Cell service is acceptable. Beautiful sunsets from the campground.

Well maintained park with friendly saff. Sites are spacious with electric and water. (convenient dump station) Restrooms are very clean and well appointed. Several cabins available for rent in the campground loop. Good hiking trails and the Discovery Center is a wealth of information for all ages. Book your tour of the Caverns ahead of time.

Ditto what other reviewers posted below. My $30 campsite was level, clean and spacious. The restrooms were immaculate and the showers were hot. I was equally impressed by the tour of the Big Cave (one of two tours offered). The care and conservation of this treasure is evident from the moment you enter the visitor center. If you haven’t been there yet, put it in your travel itinerary. It’s worth your time and effort.

The park was very clean and well maintained. The sites are paved. Our site (51) was very level. We had a neighbor behind us but not one directly in front of us, which was nice. The campground host was very friendly. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were satisfactory. The park is located close to several attractions such as Tombstone and Saguaro National Park. I highly recommend staying here.
