We were at the park this weekend in the B section. Much of this and C section lost many trees in the tornado but the renovations are wonderful, the bathrooms are spotless. The campsites are gravel, level and very well kept. Many have at least a view of the water. The online reservation system works very well, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Overall a very nice state park campground

A great park with great amenities! They did suffer tornado damage not long ago and only have one section open. Section A is absolutely beautiful and well preserved just understand that there will be some hiccups because they just reopened the camp ground Memorial Day weekend. They have a friendly staff that will do anything they can to make your stay pleasant.

Do your homework before arrival. Campground suffered major damage from a tornado in December 2019. Call ahead.

We made our reservation 3 weeks ago, in person, and arrived today to find that they'd given our site to someone else. The lady at the front desk said it was the second or third time this week that this has happened. Doesn't bode well for their reliability. We had to leave and go find somewhere else to stay.
