This is a lovely small state run campground. They have tons of amenities for kids.. splash pad with lots of water spraying around. Appears to be a pool that will open later in the season. The campgrounds are spacious and clean. Water and Electric hookups. Dumpstation on premisses.. They say a 14 day limit but I am not sure if they enforce it as there is a class A sitting next to my spot that does not look like it is drivable (at least not safely) on the road. However other than that it's mostly tent campers and nice RVS around. facilities are older but they are clean and stocked. Path leads though the woods from one side to the facilities on the other. Its is graveled and clear of brush. Apparently they have laundry but I didn't look for them. Would definitely stay here again. 30 min to New Orleans French Quarter. Best part is you can stay here for aa week for the cost of a couple nights at the RV park located in the French Quarter area.<27.00 a night.

Love this campground. We were here for 1 night. Get easy pull through. Lots were gravel but very level. Love their bathrooms. Each shower was an individual room. Very clean! Staff was extremely friendly? Escorted us to our campsite and made sure we were ok. Will definitely stop here again!

Stayed 5/26/23 for 1 nite. Easy to make reservation over phone-friendly sounding receptionist: asked if I qualify for Military disc. (I do). LL it鈥檚 an older, established park, possibly a KOA at 1 time. Many permanent sites. Clean, fairly level sites. Didn鈥檛 use pool or restrooms Reason for only 4 stars was cable TV wouldn鈥檛 work at assigned spot. A site was available in back with the Long Timers, which was shaded and everything worked. Gal on cart readily led me back. Will stay again

Easy to find from I-65, arrived after hours, Randy In golf cart took us to our pull through site, neeeded about 2芒鈧 of leveling side to side, typical. Park is well kept with a number of full timers. Roads in need of repair, bathhouse was clean with separate shower rooms. 30 amp full hook up, site 47 washes pretty good during a heavy rain. Good Verizon signal 100 mbs bw. Lots of road noise ok during night , train track nearby and a fuel tank farm next door. We stayed 2 nights. Would stay again.

The staff at this campground lack compassion. We arrived at 12pm knowing that check in was at one. We simply had to leave our prior campground early and had no choice. All we asked to be allowed to park in the parking lot until 1pm check in. They refused although they have a large parking lot with enough space for 4 rvs. The two old ladies sent out a young girl that recommended we park at Home Depot up the street. We tried, but it was a small parking lot and we almost hit a car trying to get out. We have up and drove another 250 miles home. We cancelled that reservation and of course they charged us. We then called and cancelled two more reservations for which they are trying to charge a $25 cancellation fee. They are not a kind or caring staff as some have said . Don芒鈧劉t stay here and expect any kind of kindness or help. Ps the sites are small for overnight and your picknik table is right next to your neighbors sewer.

Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Birmingham South RV Park. Getting to the campground is easy and all on good road. The roads in the campground are gravel and pavement, but have many potholes. Shakes the rv all over. Not good. The office was open and the lady's were friendly. The camp store has some basic RV needs. We were given a map showing us our campsite. Sites are half paved half gravel. Many are not level and some have large dips or ruts. All have picnic table, but no fire pit. The campground has about half that are seasonal. The bath house is very nice. The club house is nice and has a fuss ball table and ping pong. The pool was large and nice. The lounge chairs are hard plastic things that are very uncomfortable. No hot tub. The sites have cable and wifi. The cable is snowy and the wifi is week. Some sites have more space from the neighbor than others. None of the sites are anything special. The roads and the site pads need to be fixed. This campground is good for one night only stays in my opinion. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well..

Dated but clean facilities. Decent sites but interior roads are narrow with potholes. Would be okay just for overnight but too noisy to relax. Train whistles and sirens blaring constantly along with interstate noise and loud mufflers (this is the south). Was told at check in that I received an email with instructions about check in protocols due to Covid19 which I did not receive. I was not made to feel welcome but this may now be the norm for RVer芒鈧劉s trying to return to northern homes in the spring. Can芒鈧劉t believe I paid almost $50 for this.
