My family and I love to travel to new states. We love road trips. We usually stay at KOA’s knowing they are alway safe and nice. This one was safe but not nice at all. To be honest I can’t believe they allow this to be a KOA. Not maintained, spots are tight, there is no concrete. Plan to be on dirt/rocks and a lot of weeds. Again I wouldn’t waste your time at this place. What a disappointment.

This place is actually very nice with cute cabins, and I would have given it 4 stars, but for the fact the the entrance is too steep for big rigs! We bottomed out and ripped the rock catcher/guard off. Destroying it! As people have said the space is tight, but our pull thru spot was long enough for or 45’ rig and tow vehicle. If we were to return we would go in through the exit. The people there went out of there way to help us; from driving my husband around in a cart to find the safest exit path as well as taking the destroyed rock catcher to the garbage as it was by the entrance, not the exit.

KOA Pensacola West
This KOA has bad business practices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to rent a lot for next Feb and agreed to prepay the lot in full but the management wanted me to also prepay an amount of $150 for any power I may or may not use 6 months in the future! I told them I would upon arrival prepay for my power for that month but they said they want it now (6 months) before I get there!
Do not rent there!!!!!!!!!!
Beware!

Older park on the bay. The waterfront was not all that inviting because somehow you had to pass in front of someone's cabin to get to it. It felt intrusive and the dock looked like it might give way anyhow. The staff was nice and responsive--the electric meter at our site wasn't working and had to be replaced and they did that immediately. We stayed about three nights--didn't use the showers/rest rooms/pool/hot tub. The laundry facilities had faulty machines and they were expensive. The sites were open with a miniature picnic table unless you upgraded to a better site. I've never seen such a small table. When pulling out onto the highway from the park you are going downhill and there is a slightly steep drop so you have to take a sharper turn than you would like to and your rig leans precariously to the side as you turn plus it's a rutty dirt driveway. We have a 31' motorhome with a tow.

I agree this KOA is not up to some of the KOA's I stayed in. Staff is helpful and friendly. Spots are not finished or level. When we were in it it about 1/4 filled, so we had no one next to us. Yes, spots are close together Bathhouse are just ok

Not to usual KOA standards.
Older park with narrow spaces, tight turns.
Sites poorly maintained.
Low hanging branches for our 36 ft motor coach.
