Very disappointed in this park. Has 2 camping areas - the original which has many trees, shaded and large sites; and a newer area which has full sun on all sites with no trees. When I booked online there were no shaded sites available. When I arrived only about 13 of the shaded sites were occupied. I checked in and was given a mirror hanger for our site. That evening wanted to take a shower and found there is no bath or shower in the newer area. I rode my bike to the bathhouse in the older section (it's too far to walk). I found that you have to have a key card to enter the bathroom. I was not given one at check-in. I called the office - which was closed. The next morning I looked for a trash dumpster. None in the new camp area. Drove to the older area - no dumpster there either. Finally found a trash can to use. I will NEVER go back there.

I would give it at least a 4 star, but, I had an issue with one of the office girls. The ones I belt with prior and during my stay were exceptionally accommodating. But when I need to extend my stay by a couple of days a large girl on the office said I would have to move two sites over because mine was reserved for that day. So I moved to a site that was difficult to level in. 鈥 no one ever did show up in the site I 鈥渨as鈥 in.鈥 We can only speculate why she did that. Other than that, there are many options here. It is clean a well maintained. The maintenance and trash pick up are spot on. An excellent nite trail begins here as well.

Two stars is stretching it, it's more like 1.5. Place is kind of a dump and I concur with the previous review, except for the part about it being pretty. It COULD be pretty, there's a good amount a nature around, but there's trash littered about. They put trash cans throughout the park for people to throw their trash away but there's no lids on the cans so in the middle of the night the local critters tip the cans over searching for food. You you wake up and see a bunch of dumped trash cans everywhere. Brilliant. No sewer except for one at the entrance and it's kind of tight and not very accessible for big rigs. There's a few dilapidated trailers with permanent residents that look like they haven't moved in years. And the bathrooms are nasty and zero privacy if you want to shower. It's a shame because the changes required to boost the rating by a star or two would cost very little money. On the plus side it's fairly quiet and peaceful, and if you have a boat well then this is the place to be. I doubt I would come back unless there were no other options in the area.

Pretty campground, all spaces are shaded, easy access. Now the bad; water and electricity at all sites but no sewer at any sites. Dump station (pump) nearby. 50amp site was $22/night. The public restrooms and showers are disgusting. In the men's room there were doors on 2 of the 3 stalls and none of the 5 public showers had curtains. Great if you're an exhibitionist but I was glad our RV has a shower. Bottom line is that this could be a nice campground but has been neglected by management for a very long time. The fact that no sites have sewer is a deal-breaker for me. Would only visit again if it was my only choice.
