This is one of the prettiest FamCamps we have visited. The lake views are stunning. The campgrounds are spacious and clean. The bathhouse is clean with great water pressure! Huge grassy area by the lake to walk pets. The campsite we had was a curved pull-through facing the woods. Each site had a nice hard-packed area with fire pit and picnic table. We will most definitely visit again when in the area. Shoutout to Kathy and Crystal in the office. The most friendliest people and really helpful.

Here in late Feb and weather was perfect. The campsites are all well maintained. It is a very nice, quiet relaxing campground. The campground is about 10 minutes to main post so it felt like we were quite remote Nestled in a Pine Forrest next to Lake Thollica. We will definitely be back- this rates as one of the best Military Campgrounds we’ve stayed at so far.

An excellent park. We really enjoyed our stay. We wished we would have stayed longer. Had a quite pull through site. Mornings on the lake were worth the stay. Downside was also a positive is it is quite far from main FT Rucker. A bit of a drive to get groceries from the commissary. Honestly we cannot wait to stay again next year. Do not follow your GPS get directions. The GPS wanted to send us on tank trails. Lol

Showers weren't cleaned in the 10 days we stayed. Water was shut off without notifying anyone. Water was contaminated and wasn't drinkable. Money changer was out of quarters today. I reported the problem mid morning. It is now 1830 and none addressed the problem yet. There is no camp host. A female applied and was told they wanted a man. We talked to a man who called to apply and none returned his call. There is a need for someone to take charge or the campground is going downhill. This is a nice campground but needs attention.

Beautiful campground with pretty lake. Clean laundry ($), showers and bathroom. Very nice community room with satellite TV, comfy furniture, microwave. We camped in a Rockwood 21 ft. Hi wall Pop up. Water, electric. Dump station available. Resident mature Eagle and nest in campground was a bonus! Many pretty songbirds, from bluebirds, to mockingbirds. We stayed 1 month, we WILL be back!

Beautiful Camp. Paved roads, concrete pads thoughtfully laid out New bath house, laundromat and community TV room. The entire place is very quiet and very clean nestled in tall pines. Most of the sites along the outer edge face into the woods or are surrounded on three sides by trees giving you that very in the woods camp feeling. Our dog loved being able to run free into the lake, but in the rest of the camp she needed to remain on a leash. We were there in early November so bugs, heat and humidity was not a problem. Summers in lower Alabama can be brutally hot and humid. Loved this camp.

We're new to the RV life and still learning about the many options offered by campsites. The fact is that this a very nice campground and the positives far outweigh the negatives. We were in the area for 3 weeks and were able to visit with friends since we were evicted for hurricane Michael for 2 days and all the hotels were full by 7 pm. I'm not a big water sports lover but you can't even swim in the lake except at a designated area a couple of miles away. We were lucky and found a waste tote in the area for cheap so the dumping wasn't as big an issue for an extended stay. Now for the good, level concrete pads circle the outside perimeter for pull throughs and shorter stays and pretty level gravel pads for those staying longer. The showers, game room and laundry room were clean and well maintained with wi-for in the rec room

The campground is deep in the post so make sure you have all the milk and bread you need before setting up. There are loads of cabins around the lake. The campground is neat and sites are spacious. Each campsite has a concrete slab, table, and fire ring. We had 50 amp electric and water hookups. They worked fine. The dump site was clean and easy to work with. Trees make the sites feel more naturalistic but did not interfere with tv satellite reception. The wifi does not work at the campsite or at the rec room. Four washers and dryers are clean and in good working order. This is a flight training base so helicopters are flying from dawn to dusk and then some. There is a very nice aviation museum on base. There's not much in the area to see.

We are on an extended trip in our motor home. I decided to come here from Tyndall Fam Camp sight unseen. First the drive was only 2.5 hours. It was through some very pretty country. I was stationed here at Ft Rucker 40 years ago and I don't remember there even being this MWR complex here. The RV camp is very nice and secluded away from traffic and the base. We asked for a pull though and got it. It doesn't have sewer but we weren't going to stay for more than 1 night. Great relaxing place and great views of the lake. The beach is about a 1/2 mile up the road. Very quiet. The trees on the west side interfere with satellite reception. We were able to pick up local channels. If you can back up good space 18 is so deep you might think you are the only one here.

While a very nice, clean campground, the sites are NOT full hookup. There is, however, a dump station.
