Beautiful area an lake friendly staff. The only drawback is that everything needs some work.

The park is set up very nicely and no sites on on top of each other. They take care of the grounds but the sites are very uneven and the black top is torn up all thru the roads and sites. Be aware that phone service is spotty and wi-fi is available only at the check in booth. Very quiet this time of year.

Beautiful state park, plenty of full hookups and pull thru sites, very clean bathhouse with spacious, hot showers. Mountain bike trails are fabulous, a shorter 4 mile loop and a ~12 miles around the lake. Stayed one night in Dec 2021 on my way to Arkansas in a 25’ Dynamax Isata 3, will definitely be back. Park office was very helpful, called me to be sure I knew where to get my site info since I was arriving after hours.

Nice State Park with lots to do especially for kids. We stayed in site 39 which was very unlevel. Had to pull out the extra long water hose and add an extension to our sewer hose. Most sites we saw were unlevel however, they did have 10 inches of rain the day before we arrived. The sites could use some tlc therefore the three star rating.

Overnight on a road trip. The lake is beautiful, with great sites lakefront and Lakeview. Sites are level, some of the upper sides of subject as well. Well-maintained with beach and boat launches. Would definitely come back.

In addition to other reviews we wanted to highlight that many parking spaces allow for parallel parking and even staying hooked to your truck if needed. Rear parking is also available in some campsites. For new RVers being able to park and drive through is a plus and needs to be noted. Park is impeccable and administration is very attentive.

Excellent park. Spacious sites backing to the lake. Clean restrooms. Beautiful hiking trails. Quiet except before Alabama football games!

High quality state park. Nice bathrooms/showers. Lots of pull throughs, well maintained, limited cell service

Stayed 2 nights in a class A. Site 33. Lakeside pull throughs have wood decks and stairs down to lake. All sites 30 amp only,which was not a problem. Dump pipe at site was too far away. Needed a 3rd hose. Very nice park. Would stay again.
