Nice rest stop. The view is truly awesome. Picnic tables and plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around in the lower parking lot. Bathrooms are clean. Seen a few Bald Eagles flying around as well.

Clean and reasonably maintained. The eastern area, lower on the hillside, is less used, quieter, and more amenable to a longer-term stop. It’s accessible by going down the gravel road next to the eastern entrance/exit for the main rest area. There is an overlook to the scenic river valley, a large grassy area and ample level compacted gravel parking for many vehicles, including larger rigs.
