July 2020: Small but very well maintained rest area. The grounds and bathrooms are clean. There are several picnic tables in the well irrigated and mowed central lawn area, which unfortunately is not really shaded and has no drinking water supply. There芒鈧劉s also a small 芒鈧揘ature Trail芒鈧� leading into the forest with informative signs about the local plants and trees. There is a resident caretaker on-site. The Pet Area is reasonably grassy and clean, with a dispenser of 芒鈧揹oggie bags芒鈧� and a convenient trash container to collect them. The commercial truck parking area is far enough away from the passenger car parking that idling truck engine noise is not too loud. If your RV is longer than a standard pickup or Class B van-size RV, you WILL NOT FIT in any of the very few and short auto parking spaces. Do everyone a favor and have the common courtesy to park in the truck spaces instead. The truck lot is used very lightly, but the auto parking spots are fairly heavily used. If you choose to occupy more than a single space the on-site caretaker apparently has legal authority to ticket you for improper parking (we saw it done, that芒鈧劉s why we芒鈧劉re sharing all this parking info). The posted time limit to stay is 16 hrs. We assumed the caretaker monitored that along with the overall parking situation, but didn芒鈧劉t stay long enough to test that. The auto parking spaces get some shade in the very late afternoon, but the truck lot gets very little shade.
