Only down side I have is that the last two years we stayed two weeks, once in June and the other in August. After two weeks our water filter was trash. Brown as dirt. Only campground this has happened.

Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Wind Creek SP. Getting to the campground was good. The roads in the campground are paved and in good condition. The trees all seemed to be trimmed. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. No camp store but there is a marina with a store. There is a large parking area near the office. No escort to site but was given a map. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. OK, here is the bad. We were shown three different sites in three different loops and none of them would fit our motorhome. The site pavements were so narrow that our wheels would not fit on them. One side would be off. Plus most of the sites are not level. The whole campground is very old and needs updating. Here is the other bad, we finally decided to move to the newer sites between C157 thru C195 but they are requiring a serious up charge of $80.00. All the new sites had a good view of the water. Our site was level. The site was dry. The campground has a no seasonal folks. No pool. No rec room. No workout fitness room. No deli on site. The grounds are well kept. No cable tv. We did get over air antenna. No Wifi, but we used our phone for hot spot. Good Verizon cell service.

Absolutely beautiful ! So much to do here putt putt, archery, zipline, human foosball court, playgrounds, fishing, boating , ect and the scenery with all the trees, squirrels , Lake Martin , it can’t be beat. Very busy campground. Stayed in B44 with full hookup . I was worried upon arriving because tree roots have distorted Trailer pad (several sites where roots have interrupted asphalt) . That being said once we backed over the roots camper leveled perfectly without needing Ramps. Would give 5* but sites are a bit to close . Would definitely return to this campground . Wish zipline on premises was affordable to take grandkids to but at $50 and $70 a pop we had to pass.

This is an additional amendment to our trip here this spring. After two days help at a sub par site we found a wonderful site open at the premium area. Also at least have the campers left Sunday afternoon. So check carefully where you might choose your site to be satisfied.

If you come during spring breaks every site might be filled and lots of children. Water sites are very close together. Site 112c does not have fire pit.

Wind Creek is our absolute favorite camping spot! It’s close to us, so we camp there often. The staff is incredibly friendly. The campers are incredibly friendly! They have a great Facebook group that has a wealth of information about activities, local recommendations, and has detailed descriptions of each site! There’s plenty of hiking and fishing on beautiful lake Martin! The park is clean and the bath houses are always clean! There are several great playgrounds very conveniently located. There’s a creamery that operates seasonally as well as a mini golf! There’s a beach for swimming and boat ramps also. Fantastic place to camp!! You won’t regret it!

Came to visit family , booked for two nights , got to my site B26 notice the 30 amp was burnt up , they had no problems with me switching sites . Quiet place, never used the bathhouse , will be back for sure..

We stayed one night passing through. We were there the second week of August and even though we had a reserved spot when we arrived they told us we could move if we saw something we liked better. The only negative was the first site, reserved site, backed up to another site. We would have been looking directly into someone else’s camper. Because there were a lot of empty sites we chose to move. It looks like a great place to visit when we have more time and cooler weather. I would stay again.

Very nice state park on a huge lake. Many sites have direct access to the lake. Stayed overnight in 40’ MH with tow. Had a back-in site and it was okay to negotiate turns and get situated in it. Did some fishing in the evening but had no nibbles. Sigh. Would come back here for a week or more.

Frendly staff, clean park. Only negative was the sewer was block by a pine cone. The staff came out to fix but wasn't able to until after we left. I would go again.
