We arrived late in the day and were looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay near Tok. We’re self-contained and don’t use the facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in early June in our 25 foot (8 meter) MH. This as a nice, small, clean CG just off the Alaska Highway 5 miles from Tok. There are 27 sites, 13 near the river and in the trees (privacy and shade) and away from the road. Sites nearest the road are more open, with less privacy. A few sites are tent only, a few are relatively long for bigger rigs. We filled the last vacant site near the river. Most of the sites nearest the road were open. Most sites have a gravel pad and are level. There is some road noise, although traffic is sparse during the night. Note the bridge right outside the CG is under construction summer 2019, creating additional noise. Work stops overnight and resumes at 6:30 am. This was ok for a one night stay. There’s a weak ATT and Verizon cell signal. There’s a short nature trail on the CG. Tok has all services. The Visitor Center staff is knowledgeable about Alaska Travel. Additional Alaska travel info is available at the Alaska Public Lands Info Venter.

Gorgeous state campground. Never saw staff member in 3 days. Grab a spot on the river if you're early arrival.
Pit toilets, pump with unknown water quality. No firewood, bring your own. Near town.
We noticed some campers didn't pay.
Low rating because 100 feet from the busiest highway in Alaska.
