We stayed here mid-Sept and were the only ones here when we pulled in. Weirdly, someone else showed up and parked right next to us. We liked the campground when empty but I doubt I would like when full on the summer. Sites are super close for a state campground. 3 tight loops. A few paths to the river but looks like most would have you go through someone’s campsite. So basically, this is an OK place to stay during the summer and a great place when empty.

Nice state park campground. Gravel roads and fairly level spots. Plenty of spaces when we arrived about 7:00 pm. Firewood around and water pump at entrance. There’s a nature trail to a lookout, but the day we were there was very smoky from a nearby fire and so not much to see.
