We stayed two nights, with a day trip in the toad to Eagle. This is a nice park, and I agree about the Chicken experience. It's an unusual place. There's a great store on site with a small restaurant. The first evening we were there they were serving wood fired pizza, which was real fine. Good people.

OK, so its pretty much just a gravel parking lot, but the "Chicken Experience" makes the trip memorable! Our site (#1) was a pull thru with 30A power only, nice and flat with some privacy shrubbery and trees between. The back in sites aren't so lucky. Toilets are all nicely done outhouses, his and hers. Very clean. The cafe and gift shop are first class. On our night there we has a great wood fired pizza cooked personally by the Owner. What a delightful guy! And, he was our guide the next morning for a walk thru of the Pedro Dredge, a historical piece that he rescued from the brush and moved to his site. All in all, Chicken is a tongue-in-cheek Kind of place. Its dusty and the road is rough but its getting better yearly. Put on your big-boy britches and give it a try!
