We stopped here because we are scheduled to be at a rv campground tomorrow and arrived in the area after dark. Originally planned to boondock over near Joshua Tree. We were able to park our 38’ RV without unhooking our towed vehicle. There is an 8 hour limit but we were able to put slides out on the drivers side because there is a wide curb beside this parking area. Although my husband is able to sleep, because of the highway noise/lights and traffic from vehicles entering the rest stop. If you plan to sleep here, bring some ear plugs and close all your window shades. Did not use any facilities but there is space to walk your dogs.

Dry, lots of dirt and sand, minimal shade, 8 hr parking limit. Wasn’t the cleanest looking place. We drove through, decided not to stop.

I visited this rest stop on January 19th and found it very much open. It was nicely landscaped and a pleasure to walk around. There were info podiums around a inviting picnic shelters. The washrooms left something to be desired. Since I only tried to use the womens, I am not sure its accurate for both. Most of the locks in the stalls were broken. There was paper garbage strewn about in all the stalls. Since it was sketchy, I decided to return to my RV to use my own facilities.
